Occupy Denver is having problems with an early Denver winter.

Occupy Nashville has been given 24 hours to leave Legislative Plaza, or they may be evicted or arrested. They've apparently been told that the State may issue daily permits allowing them to assemble from 9-4.
They're asking that people contact the powers that be and let them know if you support them.

re Nashville: I totally forgot about the Constitution's 9am-4pm First Amendment Permit Clause.
re Denver: I hope they realize the movement is growing every day and that specificity of space is growing less important. Occupying should not become one of those things to do in Denver when you're dead.

I don't know that they do, and I'm glad that you (and presumably others) do. I hope that pregnant woman gets proper medical care and that the movement grows from indefinitely occupying individual public plazas and separate cities into something that effects real change.
In the end, it's not about Occupying Zucotti Park. It's about Occupying America.

Looks like the tables have turned and the OWS is now becoming the upper class. But the irony is lost on them. The leeches now have leeches. I think I'll organize the homeless to protest the OWS.
"The Occupy Wall Street volunteer kitchen staff launched a counter revolution yesterday -- because theyre angry about working 18-hour days to provide food for professional homeless people and ex-cons masquerading as protesters."

"The Post, Goth, seriously?"
Typical response. Mock the source because you don't like the message.

Post or not, unless I misread, the article is not saying that the protestors have become upper-class loafers. It's saying that people who aren't actually part of the protest are showing up just to eat the food.
No?

Ha ha ha! "Professional homeless people." OMG. You know, for somebody who crows about being a Christian, Goth, you don't seem to know the first thing about "Who Would Jesus Feed?" If you don't think the poor are part of the movement, you must be getting your news from unreliable sources, (he wrote sarcastically).
Of course hungry people are fed at Occupy locations. I know this concept is too abstract for you, but it's the right thing to do. Do you think Dorothy Day, or Mother Teresa, or Jesus, worried about whether the hungry they were feeding passed some litmus test to prove they "deserved" to be fed? No. They were hungry and that was enough.

It's okay, Namo. Goth is going to organize the homeless to protest their being fed at OWS.
Or something.

"It's saying that people who aren't actually part of the protest are showing up just to eat the food."
And the irony is lost on you as well. The OWS crowd is not part of productive society, they're just showing up for free donations of money, clothes and food. Why don't the protestors get out and get jobs so that they can be contributing to the tax base needed to run society and fund the social security system?

Goth, not only are you missing the entire point of
OWS, you're still missing the point of your own article.

I think it's a chromosome missing.

Actually, I think Goth's onto something. If people would just, you know, go out and get jobs, we wouldn't have an unemployment problem.
Similarly, if the homeless just went home . . .

With statements like that, you should apply for dictatorship! I hear there's an opening in Libya.
