"Quiet weirdo. You're suppose to be a sheep. No, you are!"
I LOVED the scene with Joe Biden.

Last night's episode was perfection at its best. It was so hilarious.

Nate Silver revealed>!
I watched the first two seasons of Parks & Rec and then went on hiatus until recently. What an amazing show. The ensemble is amazing. The writing is terrific. And the show so proudly wears its heart on its sleeve. I just love how >good< these people are--no snark, no hipper-than-thou BS. Ben and Leslie are a couple of policy wonks who believe in the system. And Leslie's heart and goodness get rewarded often enough to keep her going. I just finished "Mrs. Knope goes to Washington", and I LOVED that her reaction to the Corridors of Power was to put on her waders and clean up the Pawnee River herself. Classic Leslie Knope--full of beans and never giving in to the darkness.
Rob Lowe? Hilarious. Nick Offerman? Briliant. Chris Pratt? Such a natural actor. Amazing. The Tammys? Ohmigod--hysterical.
I love the meta/meta humor of 'Community', but the underlying snark gets me down after too many episodes in a row. Parks & Rec is--for me--the perfect show--I can't get enough.
I remember the Leslie Knope of early S.1 episodes. She was kinda Michael Scott in drag. I remember being so disappointed that this was Amy's big series, and coming off an amazing end to her SNL career, that she was stuck with a really unpleasant character. To me that, in fixing her character into a much more pleasant and competent figure whose ambitions felt warranted, is one of the great modern television character switches and much needed for a show on local government. I am trying to think of where the main character went through a change in writing and characterization that was for the good of the show. Currently blanking but I never would have guessed I would have been taken to the character (because again she sorta started as the female Michael Scott early on and I actually never got into The Office or any of their characters).
Amy really should have a war chest of Emmys by now. Hopefully this becomes the year.

I also think that she is more likeable and not as crazy as Liz Lemon. As talented as Tina Fey IMO that character just got annoying after a while.

Not sure if it is appropriate to make those comparisons. Parks & Rec is a far more based on reality type of television show while 30 Rock is part parody and part farce on the television business which is less than relatable to a local government in flyover country. Liz Lemon is supposed to be a little bit and ridiculous as for all of the characters
After season 1, Parks and Rec traded cynicism for good-heartedness and competence.

I actually kind of forget that was even on!
I have a feeling we'll know COMMUNITY's fate very soon. I'm very nervous.

Wow. Really sorry to hear this, although Rashida's character had become somewhat irrelevant and you could see the writing on the wall for her. Surprised about Lowe.
I wonder if they're not going to finally pair them off in order to send them away.
But I am sad to see them both go.

I really am sad to see Rob Lowe and Rashida leave but as of late Rashida was underutilized and I feel she is such a great talent that she deserves better.

I loved when Ben looked at Andy and says "Hogwarts is fictional you know that right? It's important to me that you know that" hahaha... so happy this show is back!
The scene with Ann, Chris, and Jerry cracked me up.
