"What's there to tell about the Bronx? It's uptown and to the right". Also "The Bronx is up and the Battery's down".
Seriously, though, be a little more specific. What do you want to know? Are you looking for places to stay? Museums? Outdoor activities? History? It's a huge subject.

If you like the outdoors, particular if you enjoy the water, the Bronx has a big advantage over the other boros. There's Orchard Beach, City Island (very cool), and Crotona Park with its lake. Fishing, canoeing, kayaking. Biking is great there, though it can be hilly. There's lots of great parks, the beautiful Woodlawn Cemetary, the Bronx zoo, and the NY Botanical gardens.
There's the Bronx Museum of the Arts, many maritime museums, and Wave Hill, a beautiful historical area with music, all types of art, much of it outdoors, and a great view of the Pallisades on the other side of the Hudson river. Lots of history in the Bronx.
The Bronx is very diverse ethnically and culturally. Generally speaking, you'll get more space for your money there, but the trade-off is being in a less accessible area. There is mass transit, but you'll be much more reliant on buses than subways, and in general there's less service than the other boros (sorry, Staten Island, I'm leaving you entirely out of this).
Also in general, less 24 hour sorts of things. If you're looking for the city's hustle-bustle, the Bronx probably isn't for you - and yet you're just a subway ride from Broadway.
Use the wiki link spiderdj listed to give you a head start if any of the above sounds appealing, then google the rest. I haven't lived there for a long time (I was in Riverdale), but maybe someone else on this board can give you some better updated or more personal info. I loved it, but ultimately, it was a little too remote for me, though I still visit Wave Hill when there's a performance or exhibit I want to see, and I get to City Island a few times a year. You'd never know you were still in nyc.
Feel free to private message if you have more questions - and good luck.

Also the Bronx Zoo, what section of the Bronx are we talking here ? Could you be
a little more specific .... The Riverdale section is pretty nice and close to the city too.
