I'll bet $50, but on the terms described above. I don't want the bet to be on my clairvoyance. I want it to be on Karl's comeuppance.

In a way, I've already won. There are plea-bargaining conversations going on as we speak, and you don't plea-bargain when you're innocent.

But I don't want to lose the bet on a "technicality." If you believe Karl is innocent of any wrongdoing--including lying to prosecutors, perjuring himself in front of a grand jury and obstructing an investigation and justice itself--then accept the $50 bet as outlined above.

technicality, my butt. either he's going to be indicted or he isn't. either they're going to charge him or they're not. but because i can see you are chomping at the bit to buy me some drinks, i'll cut a deal here on point 3: i only accept this if the "other(s)" rove implicates is/are a person(s) with equivalent or higher ranking than himself within the administration. i'd hate to lose $50 if he implicates some reporter.

The bet is not up for negotiation--or, more appropriately, plea-bargaining.

If Karl did so, he would STILL be admitting guilt. The only reason Karl is plea-bargaining is that he is GUILTY. If he were innocent of all wrongdoing, the investigation would be over.

Pehaps brdlwyr or jrby or YWIW would be willing take the bet with you.

Or perhaps you'd like to take Namo up on the prostate massage. I hear he's been taught by experts.
