Pretty interesting... at first I saw it counter-clockwise and then went to clock-wise, and now that's all I can see.

I can only see "anti-clockwise" and focused but couldn't change it.

I initially saw clockwise, but I can change it. I've always known that I use both sides of my brain fairly equally though I think thats why I live Set Design....I have to balance both the artistic and technical side of a project, giving my brain a full-workout.

re: Right brain v Left Brain test#5
Posted: 10/15/07 at 3:56ami can see both, but clockwise comes more naturally to my eyes.
re: Right brain v Left Brain test#6
Posted: 10/15/07 at 6:25amI can change it both ways on command, that's interesting.

Posted: 10/15/07 at 10:11amI see it clockwise-only.

It's weird. If I just look at it, it's clockwise. If I read the text beside it and look back at it, it moves to counter clockwise. If I look at and look back again, it's back to clockwise.
I guess reading turns on the non-dominant left side of my brain.

I saw counter clockwise. Weird.
My friend was lookign over my shoulder, and she said "Duh! It's going clockwise!" Then she was amazed when I saw it differently.

I think it goes in different directions every so many seconds...
I find it hard to believe that YOU can change seeing it.

Posted: 10/15/07 at 11:33amTHat's what I assumed at first, too, SSweetQ but then I looked at it at the same time iwth a friend and we both saw it clockwise until it turned and I said, "Look, now it's going counter-clockwise" and she said, "No, it isn't, it's still going clockwise." So there really must be a personal difference for everyone.

Posted: 10/15/07 at 11:41amWow...people really see her going counterclockwise? Maybe it's too many years of ballet...but I follow her arm and her feet, and it's an outward turn, so she's going clockwise.

I just find it funny that you're backing it up with the technical ballet terms. I don't mean to offend, I'm not being mean, but it's just strange how certain we are on what we see when for me that sounds crazy.

Posted: 10/15/07 at 12:06pmIt would be interesting to know whether people are left-handed or right-handed in addition to what they see. I'm left-handed, and, as expected, I see the dancer rotating clockwise. I also can't for the life of me make it go in the opposite direction!
