Wagner wrote in his memoir that "the bottom line is that nobody knows exactly what happened," but the bottom line is actually that someone knows and it's Robert Wagner.
Sooo true.

"His heart-wrenching account will put to rest any lingering suspicions of what went on that night," says an inside source.
I have no idea whether or not Wagner is culpable. But I'm certainly not going to blindly take his word that he is not. Why would anyone? The idea that what he might say would squelch any lingering suspicions is preposterous. He's an interested party. Again, I am not saying that his account isn't truthful or that he's guilty. I'm merely pointing out that it is silly to take whatever he has to say on the subject as the final word on it. We may never know enough to form an informed opinion as to what really happened.

Posted: 1/18/13 at 3:43pmWas on vacation in NY summer of 1977 and saw Annie at the then Alvin Theatre. Was standing near the stage door to see Dorothy Loudon. There was suddenly a commotion about 30 feet away. Screams and flashbubs and a big crowd of people. I had to investigate. Got close enough to see Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood posing for photographs. She was gorgeous (and so short). My first brush with true glamour. Wish All the Fine Young Cannibals would be released on DVD. Have been waiting and waiting.

Posted: 1/18/13 at 4:51pmMy scenario: Lots of alcohol, marijuana, cocaine. Natasha passes out. Wagner and Walker "retire" to a cabin. Natasha walks in on them and freaks. The two attempt to calm her down. A scuffle ensues during which she receives the recently revealed bruises. During the scuffle one of the men inadvertently pushes her over the railing. They both swear a vow of silence because telling the truth about her death would involve criminal charges. And in 1981, telling the truth about their bisexuality would have been the end of their careers.
