landry--I know I'm not the only one to believe that--and I've even heard of "insiders" who think Wagner and Walken were having an affair or a one-night stand.

But, unlike your friend, most people who were close to Natalie or are still close to Wagner react violently and angrily at the suggestion.

Yeah, the man-on-man action theory has been around for years, and certainly makes as much sense as any of the others. I recall the more truth or dare like scenario, wherein one of the two men challenged the others to a little action as a "joke," and when it happened, and continued with, uh, fervor, poor Natalie walked in on something that tops Michelle Williams' peek at Heath and Jake smooching. So many "straight" and for real straight Hollywood stars dabbled, and certainly someone like Wagner was hit on by men throughout his early career.

he does. he writes how he waited outside beatty's apartment with a gun. that's when his friends talked him into analysis and he claims it saved his life.

Say what you will about RJ, in his younger 20th Century-Fox contract days of the 1950s he was one of the all-time top five most beautiful men in all of Hollywood history. I can only think of maybe one other I would rank higher and that is Buster Crabbe in the 30s.

As for his connection with Charlie's Angels and other series, RJ was an investor in them and made a small fortune out of his TV investments. He was never a hands-on producer. This is one of the reasons after the lucrative Hart To Hart he never really worked except when he wanted to work.

Money from a memoir will be pocket change.

I saw him on the View, and he didn't reveal one solitary things about the drowning. When asked what really happened, he said "I don't really know."

I too, believe along the lines of PalJoey's theory.

And Kooky, I will always care about knowing the truth in any and all questionable deaths. I don't believe you would say that if it were someone close to you.

I simply adored Natalie Wood - from Miracle on 34th to Rebel without a Cause to West Side Story to Gypsy to Inside Daisy Clover and so many more - I think we lost one of the greats way too soon and in such a questionable way.

PalJoey- I am revisiting this thread, and I can't believe what you posted!! My mother has been telling me that story for years about Walken and Wagner, but I thought she was just making her own assumptions. I never realized that other people either have inside information about this story or assumed the same thing. Too much...

I'm pretty sure she was abducted by aliens that night, and when they put her back down again, they missed the boat and dropped her in the water instead.

I read it all. It was written by a content editor with very "proper" grammar skills, and absolutely no creative writing skills whatsoever. But all the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed. And there's always a properly conjugated verb.

Yes, boring.

All to tell us, "I really don't know what happened that night, because we fought, and I went to bed. Which has already been written a thousand times by the media over the years. But please buy my book anyway."

I can second that opinion. Years ago he and Jill St. John were dining at the table next to ours, and he was the most handsome man I had ever seen (to this day). This was in the early 80's, he must have been in his late forties or early fifties at the time, and he was stunning.
