sorry! i searched but didn't find anything...
gumbo, Clemens is one of the greatest pitchers of all time, and the Yankees desperately need him... i think that he will be great
does anybody know if Pavano is out the entire season?

But Clemens has played this drama queen game regarding returning. I will never deny Clemens's record but I just don't see him bring the Yankees what they need anymore. i wish they would have put the resources towards a younger more dependable pitcher, but whatever.

Posted: 5/6/07 at 4:51pmi agree... especially about the drama queen thing... but the Yankees need pitching, and i think that he's the best option at the moment...

Posted: 5/6/07 at 4:59pmI agree that they do need some good, solid pitching right now, and I know that Clemens had one of his best seasons ever last year, but the man is 44 years old. How much longer is he really going to last? I mean, look at what happened with Randy Johnson. He wasn't terrible at all, but they went after him expecting him to be their ace, and he let them down.

Public-address announcer Bob Sheppard instructed the crowd to draw its attention to the owner's box and the video screen, where Clemens, holding a microphone, drew a loud ovation from the crowd at the game between the Mariners and Yankees.
In true Clemensian fashion.
I can't stand the guy, but I think the Yankees are at the point with their pitching where they need to give this a try considering money isn't really a factor.

This news thrills me to no end...love him hardcore...I was at his 300th win/4000th strikeout game and it was one of the greatest games I have ever been to. Our pitching definitely needs a Rocket boost.I would've killed to be in that stadium yesterday. Cashman and Hendricks were definitely right in thinking that the way they approached the announcement would make for a great moment. Kind of cheesy? yes but nevertheless it was a great moment.
No one is going to benefit from this move more than one Phillip Hughes.

Seriously, I think the fix was in. This was cleverly orchestrated. The second coming of the messiah is upon us

I am so excited about this! As a Red Sox fan, it thrills me to no end that the Yankees are turning to a 45-year-old pitcher available for half the year to solve their pitching woes.
The only way this gets better is if he's nailed in the continuing steroids saga.
