I like how the squigglies shot up just as the camera panned to Michelle.

Sorry, I had to fix my link!
lol that IS an awesome pic!
LOVE it JerseyGirl!! lol
Well the best thing I think the squigglies showed was that the undecideds weren't excited by McCain's ideas, but slowly warmed sometimes. They were excited by Obama's comments. Obama won the debate, but he also won the war for voter emotional attachment.

Did I really hear McCain refer to Obama as, "that one"?
If Social Security is so easy to fix- then why haven't we yet? Do we have to wait until it's completely broken? Every time McCain tried to throw a dig- the lines went down. When Tom asked who he would put in for the Treasurey- McCain said- Not you, Tom. I could almost feel the sighs in the audience. When he wanted Obama to put a figure on the healtcare fine after Obama didn't- again- another bust! SNL will have a field day with.. My Friends, nailing jello to the wall.. that awkward moment when he almost hugged Mr. Sherry in the audience. I also noticed that McCain had to keep writing things down! The only time I saw Obama's line really go down was when he mentioned 9/11- that's because we're all kinda sick of hearing about it (not to offend anyone here). My son was laughing at that moment. I will say, I am glad that McCain did not say Maverick or bring up the Ayers association. Obama definitely looked more confident and serious up there. The only joke I remember was when he said Michelle could give a longer list of things he didn't know. Yay for Obama- and Fox will definitely spin this for McCain because that's what they do! Let's hope that Bob Shieffer (?) will do a better job of keeping them on track and in time. I also loved how both stood in the way of the teleprompter at the end and Tom had to ask them to move- that's another fodder for SNL.
I also heard that arts. Not good, from my viewpoint.
Listening to some of the undecideds being interviewed on CNN, it reminds me how many really stupid people there are in this country.
I never saw them shake hands with each other afterwards. CNN commentators said McCain has a lot of disdain for Obama. I think McCain was hoping that this format would seal the deal for him and then Obama went and changed things around!
^ I completely agree, supportivemom! I read on the Washington Post's website that McCain was glad to have a town hall format so it was great to see Obama use it to his advantage as well.
Obama won. Period. End of story. McCain came off looking like a decrepit old dinosaur.

It's frustrating because I feel like tonight was another REALLY unclear debate, with niether of them doing very well. HOWEVER, I think a very large percentage of OBAMA'S not doing well was a result of McCain's reliance on bashing him instead of answering the damn questions, so that he was then forced to defend himself rather than move on to the next question!
And, dear McCain,
Sorry bud, it's waaay too late in the game to pull the "my friends" crap to try and make yourself look like you're NOT an ass. We've already seen and heard enough of you to know you are
So really all the constant use of "my friends" did was make you look like a foolish, DESPERATE ass.
So basically I thought niether of them did well, but if the night went to anyone it was Obama again :)
I agree. Obama won, but intellectually it was still very muddled on both sides.
CNN poll of those who watched the debates had Obama winning by a wide margin of those who thought he did the best. Also, his favorable % went up. McCain's numbers didn't change at all.
CNN Poll Results:
Who won the debate?
Obama 54%
McCain 30%
Obama favorable-unfavorable: +8% from +22% to +30%
McCain favorable-unfavorable: unchanged at +5%
