McCain has been coming across as condescending and persnickety for weeks. "That one" is going to be the big sound byte from tonight.

P.S., I am watching FoxNews (gotta keep an eye on the media) and they're not even attempting to spin for McCain tonight.
Hannity and Colmes up next, so heaven only knows.

Scratch that, Sean Hannity is being visited by Fred Thompson and the spin machine begins.

Especially that moment when he popped up behind Obama for a second before they cut away.
I watched the debate in the auditorium at my school (Sarah Lawrence is a VERY liberal, VERY political school so all the debates are like sporting events for Obama- it's fantastic
), and the entire auditorium legit CRACKED UP when he just randomly appeared, wandering behind Obama hahaha. SERIOUSLY the most entertaining part of the whole night, for sure

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

There was a moment where I swear mcCain made a motion that looked like he was implying, "What is Obama smoking?"

" that awkward moment when he almost hugged Mr. Sherry in the audience."
supportivemom, I actually liked that moment because it felt genuine to me. I believed McCain really appreciated his service and it was effective when he looked him in the eyes and connected with him. It wasn't enough, though. He came across as tired, cranky and out of touch while Obama was calmer, more authoritative and--let's face it (though it's shallow)--telegenic. How many young voters are going to get that Tip O'Neill reference? He should have been the Republican candidate in 2000. His time has passed.
Jersey made a good point, re: the cookie. He actually seems PISSED OFF that he has to work for this...that it's not a slam dunk. His disdain for Obama was palpable. The sneer and the finger pointing admonishing "that one" didn't go over well with me.
I'm glad he didn't go there re: Ayers.

How in the WORLD does ANYone think that FOX is fair and equal? I have never in my life. (And I never will again.)
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

you know what I thought was really sweet, though it really has no effect on much of anything? Was when they panned to Michelle in the audience after Obama mentioned her, and she just looked so sweet and adoring of him <3 I definitely awwwwed. They're super cute together
again, this has nothing to do with the Presidency really, but it DOES make me think pretty highly of the Obamas just as nice, sweet, caring people. They emote that.

Michelle and Barack seem like real partners, don't they? A lot of warmth, affection and support.

It was amazing. Obama's amazing.
So where's McCain going to get the money to buy up all those mortgages? He's not sounding like a Republican there!
It's ovah.

I'm hopeful, but I don't think it's over, roninjoey. People may not be as color blind in the privacy of the voting booth.

Tru dat but I dunno. I don't really see why people would lie in the first place, you know? People are making it out like there's this vast conspiracy for people to say they will vote for Obama until push comes to shove. Why would people lie in the first place?
Not to mention massive African American and young voter registration. Also the latino vote and the female vote, both of which Obama is winning.
We'll see!

LOL! Or a Valium so he could sit down and relax.
I also agree with you about not being impressed with either candidate tonight. Both were guilty of not answering the questions at times. I was left feeling like I hadn't learned anything new about either one of them.

Did Obama name any names? I thought he just said Warren Buffet was a good potential pick. Might be a good idea to say that since Buffet is an Obama supporter.
