Ryan Seacrest leaving “ Live With Kelly and Ryan”

Cohost Ryan Seacrest announced this morning he will be leaving the talk show “ Live With Kelly and Ryan” once this season wraps up in May. Seacrest said he originally signed on for just three seasons when he replaced Michael Strahan in 2016, but signed on for three more in 2019. Now, Kelly’s husband Mark will be cohosting with her once the new season starts. Kelly has been with the show since 2001. It’s the # 1 daytime talk show for the past two seasons. 

The article I saw when Seacrest announced he was leaving didn’t make it clear if Consuelos was being named the permanent co-host or if it was a temporary situation and they’d be conducting a more extensive search later on. I see the show in random bursts, typically while visiting my parents, and her chemistry with Seacrest always seemed much more at ease than I remember it being with Strahan, and Consuelos has always been a popular guest co-host. If he’s permanent it will be interesting to see how he does with a guest co-host of his own, and whether Ali Wentworth will continue to be their seemingly go-to to fill Kelly’s spot when she’s taking time off.

From what I read in a few places, Robach and Holmes didn't start "seeing" each other until they were both separated from their spouses (Which supposedly happened quietly last year). I have also read the she was separated but he actually wasn't. I watched them from the beginning and the on camera "flirting" became a bit uncomfortable, for lack of a better term, to watch. It was so evident that they were attracted to each other before their separations. What I don't get is that she has decided to date a man who had already cheated on his wife. That would have been a big red flag for me. 

 

It will be interesting when they do vacations. Other than taking time off for another project, I don't really see Kelly taking a week of vacation without Mark, and vice versa. I wonder if we will see more of those "pre-taped, new" episodes where they talk about nothing current, but act as if it wasn't recorded a week or two ago.

It’s not as black and white to say that if the divorce wasn’t finalized when they start to date someone else that it is automatically viewed as cheating. This isn’t uncommon. There are couples who have felt that their relationship died a long time ago, and while waiting for the legal proceedings of a divorce to go through, start dating someone else in the interim. We don’t know the ins and outs here. For all we know, that is the case here. But, seeing as we are not privy to the ins and outs of both of the relationship or potentially lack there of of the parties in question it’s not accurate at all to assume it’s black and white.
