If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I couldn't remember the date the riots started...and then looked it up and saw it was the 28th. Jesus H, would they really have that much sense of occasion to hand down the decisions that close to the date?

If they hand it down on the anniversary of the riots and its not 100% in favor of gay rights, there's going to be OUTRAGE like this country has never seen before. It would be the ultimate insult to the LGBT community.

I have no expectation of a decision finding that the equal protection clause mandates marriage equality - which is the obvious legal conclusion. DOMA should be stricken, as to Prop 8 - maybe a narrow decision.

There is an argument that the Court should take smaller steps to avoid major backlash from the red states.

It looks like they sent the affirmative action case back to the lower court...so no decision.

I wonder if this is indicative of how the rest of the rulings are going to go.
