Ever wonder why Crane addresses Abbie as "Leftenant"?

Because he is English, duh.
Edit to add: And it isn't 18th Century English, as one of the writers seems to suggest in that clip. It is modern-day pronunciation, too.

“It’s just English… It’s one of those weird things we do.”

He is delightful as Mr. Bingley in LOST IN AUSTEN, too.

Great to see James Frain and John Noble in the cast this week. There was an amazing amount of "plot" in a single episode.
SPOILERS FROM LAST NIGHT's EPISODE
I am glad that they did not attempt to paint the Freemasons as some evil group undermining the world. And the communion overtones in the Sin Eater's actions were kind of freaky.
Loved this episode; got a bit emotional when Crane and Abbie were sitting at the table and he spoke wonderful words about coming together despite the odds. Crane yelling at the umpire was very funny.

Tom Mison totally gets the tone right in his "funny" bits. It is a rare talent. You can see Raul Esparza do the same thing on SVU, when he has one of those crackling lines.
He absolutely does. An interview he did addressed the "funny bits" and he said he and the director decided that Tom had to play it straight for maximum effect. Tom added that the decision kept him from "hamming it up."
Loved this week's episode.
I really like the way they are developing the characters within the overarching story line. Tom Mison really gets it right!
Sleepy Hollow is one of the few new shows that I will keep on watching. He is hotness personified! I really like the blend of all of the different genres.
Another interview with Tom.

I loved Abbie's ode to baseball, especially considering that they were bumped for two weeks by the game.
So true! (Great observation about the World Series!)

Addy - do you know whether they had a drop in ratings after the hiatus?
The ratings dropped compared to pre-World Series levels.
They'll repeat the episode, and will also be able to measure DVR playback, which will hopefully give the numbers a lift.
There will be original episodes airing throughout November.

I'm glad they take recorded viewing in the ratings system now. Many - if not most - people I know watch shows after the live airing.
For the most part, only 3 days of DVR playback are counted toward advertiser audience guarantees, so not all 7 days of recorded viewing are counted. But, it definitely helps.
From a programming standpoint, they look at all of the ways the programs are viewed and what the viewership lift is across DVR playback, streaming, VOD, etc.
Do they look at those who watch via the Fox website? Also, what about viewers through the Military TV Network?
Anyone catch "Midnight Ride" this week?

Watched it. I thought it was the weakest episode so far and hope they get back on track next week.

I'm done with Sleepy. I think a short cable season would serve it better.
Also done with Disney's Marvel's The Avengers' The Agents of S.H.i. Ok I'm too tired to go on.
On the other hand, my love for Brooklyn Nine Nine has solidified. It reminds me of 30 Rock before it spun off its axis.
