But you gotta love it. Tonight was really good. Looks like next week will be a fantastic ending.

And Amy Spanger had a decent sized role! Oh that made me wayyyy happier than it should. I adore her and Hall. I understand people deal with grief in different ways, but Claire was just horrifying tonight. Anyway, I'm glad they're making it 75 minutes next week.

The Brenda/Billy thing had me literally squirming. I actually said out loud "Thank GOD!" when she woke up. I'm usually pretty good at picking out dream sequences - this one actually had me fooled, probably because it started off SO normally.

It doesn't matter that it was only a dream, Brenda wants to live with Billy as man and wife. If this is what's in her subconscious mind, she shouldn't have custody of Maya (the semi
alert child that she is).

I thought this episode was really good. It seems like Rico is the only sane one.

How is it that George is miraculously cured? That's the impression I got when is daughter said he was fine and there was no need for her to stay around (before she really let her feelings be known).

I didn't realize that was Amy Spanger until the credits rolled. She was really good.

Oh, you're right, thirdrowcenter. I'm not condoning it at all - just saying that the scene was so -- gross -- that I was glad we weren't watching it really happen.

Did anyone else see Entourage right after it when Johnny asked Brooke Shields about kissing - when they were playing brother and sister? I'm guessing it was a coincidence, but pretty funny there.

Jason, I didn't see Entourage last night. I was remembering how bizarre the Angelina Jolie kissing her brother on the mouth (on camera of course).

Just curious...and maybe I'm getting too realistic here for a TV show...but does Brenda actually have any legal claim to Maya? I found it interesting that she was going to call the police when Ruth didn't want to give her up. Brenda is not her birth mother, and I don't remember her adopting Maya (although maybe she did and I just blanked). Personally, I think that both Maya and Brenda's new baby should go live with Ruth....or maybe with Rico and Vanessa....they seemed the most sane in this last episode! LOL!

SFU

I thought the exact same thing, wendy. I was like "yes, call the police to have a child you have no blood relation to removed from her grandmother. That'll work." Last night's episode really bothered me for lots of reasons, though I was glad that sappy little ferret Maggie finally opened up.

I thought that also -- I don't think Brenda DOES have the legal right to Maya. We were told before he died that Nate hadn't changed his will in a while -- don't most people, though, when they have a child, put somewhere who should have custody? I wonder if the last change in his will would have been done since Maya's birth. Regardless of legal issues, ripping Maya from Brenda, especially after Maya yelled out "MOMMY!" when she saw her in the doctor's office, is dooming the poor kid to even more trauma, I think. Both parents dead -- and now take her away from her "other" mom? Even if Brenda isn't exactly stable, with another child on the way, I just get the feeling that she is ready to become the responsible person she needs to be. I mean, let's face it, Ruth didn't exactly raise three great children herself....
OK, I know, fictional characters...

Isn't it ironic that Claire went off on the "Support Our Troops" sticker on the car, especially since this same topic was just discussed here?

Can someone please answer my question that I posted about George a few posts up? How is it that all of a sudden he's miraculously cured? Anyone?

He seemed pretty ok at Nate's funeral and he took Ruth leaving him pretty well too. I don't think it's a case of him being miraculously cured. And there was 6 weeks elapsed between episodes, so who knows what happened to him in that time.

I ask because his daughter also made mention that she was leaving because he was "fine" now. I thought he had Alzheimer's.

No, I think the electro shock affected his memory, but I guess it was only short term damage.

Dottie - I was thinking that also. And what was with Ruth saying "We" can raise Maya???
Hi, Shirley Temple Pudding.

Because maybe Ruth is realizing that George is a good man. I liked the way he spoke at Nate's funeral.

Look at me, talking about these people as if they really exist!!

There is NO, I repeat NO reason for an individual to confront another individual like that. I don't care if the sticker said "Support the War", you just don't attack someone like that if you are a rational and sane person.

I think that was the point here...

But I can see some people on this board doing the same thing, without the trauma of a siblings death pushing them in that direction.

I know, it's like gee Claire, they're leaving your house which happens to be a funeral parlor. Ya think someone close to them just died?? Just because she's in an insane amount of grief gives her NO reason to take it out on others (applying to the office as well). I was so disappointed in her last night.

Ruth could not be more self-absorbed and controlling. I think Frances Conroy does an amazing job, but I really hate the character. She has two other children, both in extreme depression and self-destruction. Why can't she focus on them for once?
#119

The really ironic thing about self absorbed Claire is that she drives a gas guzzling Cadillac.

I guess, the underlying point that I'm trying to make is. I will miss SFU. I will miis the excellent ensemble cast and the ongoing saga of the Nate, David, Claire and Ruth. Can't wait for
next week.

I got home late on Sunday and would have missed the first 15 minutes, so I waited until last night to watch it when it reaired at 10. I was under the impression that Claire was drunk/high or something during that scene. Not that it gives her an excuse to totally act like an unhinged psychopath, but it's not like she had all of her faculties about her, so to speak.

Just to reiterate...yeah, Billy/Brenda were definitely freaky. I also had no idea that it was a dream sequence and was like "I know HBO and co. like to push the envelope, but come come on!"

Dottie... back to your question about George. I understand his condition is one that relapses. He's gone 'crazy' before, and gotten 'better' again after treatment. I don't think it's Alzheimer's.

I am going to miss this show dearly. I just read a spoiler for the finale. I teared up at my desk at work...haha I had to go to the bathroom. Claire had no right on sunday to go off like she did. Yes she was messed up. I think once Rico said, her brother just died, she knew wow I am a JERK!!
