Six Feet Under.

Anyone watch tonight? I won't divulge any info due to time zones.

WHY did he have to become such an assh*le before he...[you know]?

re: Six Feet Under.

I thought the outcome would have happened sooner, and then they had me second guessing myself. Next week looks like it's going to be a great episode. AAARRRRGGG!!! I don't want to wait though!

re: Six Feet Under.

I found myself getting teary-eyed throughout most of the show (which is unusual for me) because, for one, I kinda figured that what happened at the end was going to happen, and also because it's obvious that things are winding down for Six Feet Under, and I'm really going to miss the hell out of this show and its characters. In a universe of crappy television, it was one of the few shows that I found worth my time.

When the final "tombstone" was shown, I had to reach for a Kleenex brand facial tissue. (If you've read "Dry" by Augusten Burroughs, you'll know why I didn't just say "a Kleenex" re: Six Feet Under.).

Anyway, I'm thinking next week is going to be even sadder. I'm wondering what's going to happen in the series finale. I can't see them doing an upbeat, happy finale. It's just not that kind of show.

re: Six Feet Under.

Well that's what happens when you have a "Moment in the Woods". Learn from Joanna Gleason, Nate. Shoulda. Woulda. Coulda.
Bill Finn rocks. Woot.

re: Six Feet Under.

They've gone full circle!

The final moments, like last week's...were completely chilling...

re: Six Feet Under.

Can someone please PM me the details of what happened in this episode?

re: Six Feet Under.

I didn't think Nate was an asshole. He married Brenda like he married the first wife without really being in love with her. I never liked Brenda from day one and could not see them together anyway. I think he was just trying to find himself. He never wanted to be in the funeral business and got sucked into that. Nate, to me, was a lost soul.

I really can't imagine anybody being surprised. It was so obvious.

I thought he was dead at the end of last week's episode. I figured they'd open the episode w/ his little "Nate Fisher 1965-2005" screen and that would be that. As the episode went on and he was still kicking, I was beginning to think that they'd merely led the audience to think he was going to be the one to kick it and then bump off Ruth in the woods or something. I mean, Hiram always kind of gave me the creeps...I could totally see him killing Ruth...Anyway, I also agree that while Nate has been kind of annoying lately, I think he really was just trying to find himself. It's kind of sad that he seemed to be catching a glimpse of it right at the end. Yeah, it was ****Ty that he was going to leave Brenda, but she's been pretty irksome lately too...and I think she'd have been better off w/o him anyway. Shall be interesting to see what happens in the final couple of episodes though. I'm sure Krause will be showing up a' la Nathaiel Sr. in the 1st season.

Do we still need spoiler space since it's aired in all time zones? And this isn't really a spoiler, but...

Me too. The next few episodes are going to be SO sad (the previews had me crying)!!

Anyone else think Claire's Republican lawyer boyfriend is very HOT?

re: Six Feet Under.

Very sad, indeed. Nate was just finding his path in life and SO loved his daughter.

I would think his spirit will return for the next few episodes. Maybe in conjuction with Nate, Sr.

LOVED the scene where Ruth went all Calamity Jane on her exes.

During those LONG breaks in between seasons, I forget how good this show is. Last night reminded me.

ME TOO!! Too funny!

It'll be sad to see this show come to an end...pity there wasn't another quirky show in the wings to replace it. I don't care for Entourage or The Comeback, and Rome doesn't look like it'll do anything for me either. Going to be slow going on HBO, methinks.

re: Six Feet Under.

First of all, Mabel -- Entourage has REALLY hit its stride. If you haven't been watching this year at all because you didn't like last year, give it another chance. It's great.

I was expecting the final outcome of the episode of SFU, and I LOVED the way they did it with David and Nate Sr. going to the beach with him. I was thinking through the previews that funerals are the hardest things in the world to go through -- and yet all of us who watch the show are going to be glued to this one...

re: Six Feet Under.

Maybe Nate was a lost soul, but he knew who Brenda was and he sought her out and I believe she wanted to make a life with Nate and Mya and her unborn child. She was right when she said Nate is a total narcissist. He married his first wife after his surgery, looking for normalcy and a happy home life. Now he was hallucinating about bonding with this woman while he was post stroke. I don't know if I'm being clear but to me it seemed like Nate would get bored with this woman too. He had no right to do this to Brenda while she was in this vulnerable condition.
This woman knew Nate was married and that his wife was pregnant. She is vile and as selfish as he is. I hope they reveal some freakiness in her next week.
David made me want to cry when he asked Brenda if she wanted something to eat. Just that little show of concern was so needed and appreciated by Brenda.

re: Six Feet Under.

I thought Ruth was going to get mauled by the cougar. She's NEVER going to do anything "crazy" again after that bad experience, and now after never seeing her first-born alive one more time. re: Six Feet Under.

I never thought it possible to be cranky at the fictional dead, but I am. If Nate didn't think he and Brenda should fit anymore, ok, but did he have to wake up from his coma and tell that to his pregnant wife whom he just cheated on?? I mean come on Nate. Mid-life crisis like whoa, but you don't have to be such an a$$. He'll probably come back in spirit like old Nate, yes.
