My favorite tonight was Henry, the black guy that told the story about his adoption.

GORGEOUS technique and a pleasure to watch.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

I gotta say - Nigel was a total jackass last night. Even though she couldn't dance, I had to agree with the asian girl who cried and spoke about people being sensitive and how they should be treated a little nicer. There is constructive criticism, and then there is just plain rudeness, and Nigel was incredibly rude to many of the auditionees last night.
And don't anyone give me that crap about people needing a backbone and being able to take it - NO ONE should have to take being spoken to in that fashion, not for any reason on earth. If Nigel thinks she can't dance, he should simply stick with his usual: "I'm sorry, but you're just not right for this competition". If he want's to suggest that they take more classes, thats ok, but if he simply says that they are hideously awful and should never dance again - that is just plain bad taste and, as Owen Meany says in A Prayer For Owen Meany (novel by John Irving, - brilliant): "MADE FOR TELEVISION"
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

re: So You Think You Can Dance

I agree with you, redhot. I defended Nigel last week, but this week, I thought he was unbearably rude to many auditioners. As were the other two judges, as well. They all seemed to be in a really bad mood or something, and were unnecessarily mean to quite a few people.

And yes, Broadway_Baby, I loved Henry, too! re: So You Think You Can Dance

re: So You Think You Can Dance

Ditto about Henry ... after they told his story, I so wanted him to be good, and he was!

As for Nigel, while I will not defend him, I do think that after a long day of auditions that surely included people who know they cannot dance and were doing it only to be on television, I might say something as "rude" as he did. As it was, it seems that she really does think she is a good dancer, so assuming she was there on a bet was a bad guess.

The judge that bugs me is Mary.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

It pisses me off that ppl make such fools of themselves! Did anyone see the segment thing on all the ppl there that were "teachers"? One guy said that he was not a trained dancer but training wasnt required for the type of dance he tought.
He should know that the majority of ppl who watch the show are going to be trained dances(I think) and we all know that every type of dance requires training. URG!

Also, I havent been please with what I've seen tonight.

Same here. I LOVE dance, but I've only taken one year of it. I'm not *terrible* at it, I think if I stuck with it for years, I'd be pretty good..but there were no good dance schools near me and if I was going to do it, I wanted to really learn.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

okay so im kinda mad how they show like 6 horrible dancers and then only like 1 amazing dancers audition!! and tonight there wasn't really anyone good.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

Tonight was the first time I watched this show...and probably the last.

I thought it was a huge joke. It's horrible.

Not only does it suck, but the judges are just too mean. To critique someone's dancing is one thing - but to attack them personally - far worse than Simon Cowell ever did - is just absurd.

I felt so bad for that asian woman (I don't know her name). They were horrendously mean to her - it's one thing to say "Okay, I'm sorry, but no" - but to completely make the woman feel like crap about herself is unforgivable. I felt horrible for her, especially when I saw her cry.

Or maybe I'm just overly emotional tonight and I love asian women...

I think everything Simon Cowell produces is a joke.

Especially American Inventor.

Of course Muscle probably likes that show.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

They need to show some good dancers!

I think the judges were just getting pissed because there are waayy too many dancers that should not be teaching..or dancing. They were very rude tonight and I think a little too honest, they could have toned it down a bit.

I am loving that that guy just said "I LITERALLY dance twenty-four seven." Well, no wonder you're so emotional - you must be damn tired - and hungry!!!
