Madonna and Kylie Minogue were my first choice...

In all seriousness, what a weird choice for Walter Hill, not that he's directed anything major in a while.

I had forgotten about the Redgraves' version--it was actually the first one I saw when it aired on tv and I was 11 or 12 and only knew the title. I found it really disturbing at the time...

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Knowing Walter Hill's movies he's likely to go with Mickey Rourke and Don Johnson.

Although I'd stand in line for a Janet and LaToya Jackson version!

Shirley Jones/Flo Henderson.

Debbie Reynolds and Shelley Winters' What's the Matter with Helen? was on TCM when I got home last night, which I had never seen before (even has a cameo from the lovely Swen Swenson!) and I guess is based on a screenplay by the author of Baby Jane and Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte. A campy blast between the lesbianism, Agnes Moorehead as a mean evangelical preacher, the use of the song Goody Goody, the gory living mannequin finale... (OK, it probably helped that I had been at the bar earlier and was prettytipsy...)

Got me thinking just how many of these "actresses Hollywood sees as too old for romantic leads go up against each other in a campy horror film with a similar title" they had for a decade or so after Baby Jane. Can people think of others? I know, well, of course the classic Whatever Happened to Aunt Alice? with Geraldine Page and Ruth Gordon.

And man they had great posters...
