According to my friend, her cousin (I don't know her name, unfortunately, so she could've been BSing me) was Miss Saigon in a Broadway tour.
My grandpa was good friends in high school with the guy who played the original Joker in the Batman TV series.
My mom's cousin's cousin was Grisabella in Cats at some point...
I remember days
Or at least I try
But as years go by
They're sort of haze
And the bluest ink
Isn't really sky
And at times I think
I would gladly die
For a day of sky

Posted: 8/22/06 at 10:21amMy own claim to fame: I can be heard on a Barbra Streisand CD. I attended opening night of her comeback tour (the first one, in 1994, I think) at Madison Sqaure Garden. During break between songs when she was chatting with the audience, I shouted out 'You're like buttah' (a la Mike Meyers/Linda Richman). Barbra immeidately replied that she was getting a little verklemft, gave us a topic (the Prince of Tides was about neither princes nor tides), and told us to discuss. The banter was asknowledged in several reviews the next day, and was included in the live CD.

My dad's photos have appeared regularly in Life Magazine (in the '60s). He was a cameraman on The Patty Duke Show, plus he freelanced a lot for Candid Camera (in the early days). He can also be seen as an actor in two films. My mom did two Broadway plays, several Off-Broadway plays and live TV in the '50s, and a feature film with Anne Francis. Plus she was a regular on a radio soap opera for four years. More recently, she was in a York Peppermint Patty national commercial in the '90s that ran for three years. My grandfather (on my dad's side) was a top executive VP at Warner Bros., and was with the company from the beginning, until he retired in 1955.
My mom's mother had her own catering company in Los Angeles back in late '20s, and baked the birthday cakes for Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, Tom Mix, Gloria Swanson and Clara Bow. She sold the business and her "name" and left it all, only a few years later. Her husband (my grandfather) was a civil engineer and worked on several projects with Harry Truman. His best friend interviewed Adolph Hitler one-on-one at the start of WWII.
My great grandfather (on Mom's side) was the last relative to be born on our family's plantation in Oxford Mississippi, known as Rowan Oaks... which is now famous because it was the home of William Faulkner, who bought the place after my family sold it off. I also have a relative who signed the Declaration of Independance (yay!), and one that rode with Jesse James (boo!).
My own (singing) voice was heard on 38 jingles for Fox television in the early '90s. I also wrote the jingles. My name can be seen in the "credits" sections of dozens of DVD releases, from The Right Stuff to the Harry Potter movies to Star Wars: Episode III.
EDIT: Oooh, I love the costume one Yenta... so I throw a couple in myself: When I was in Camelot, the knights in our show wore the original Broadway costumes. They were REALLY old. When I did "Sugar Babies" I wore a man's suit in one number from the original Broadway production of My Fair Lady (also pretty old).
