My mom's claim to fame is that she was on the game show Fandango.

My friend won a car on The Price Is Right. He's also the first person in the history of the show to attempt to spin the wheel backwards.

My adoptive aunt's soon-to-be-ex-husband (otherwise known as my uncle) was an extra in the film ONE CRAZY SUMMER starring John Cusack and Demi Moore. He was a merchant marine at the time.

I don't know. Ironically, he was supposed to go to a taping 3 months previous, but his car broke down on the way and he'd been hitching rides with friends ever since.

My uncle was a guest on the Today Show once.

My neighbor sells spy software and he owns a huge company and he was on Montel Williams, The Today Show, USA Today Article, NBC Nightly News and others...

My neighbor is John Landis's son.

My mom was on Concentration, back when Hugh Downs used to host it. She won a lot of stuff, including a Winnebago, but she and my dad had to sell almost all of it because they moved to Japan shortly afterward.

Not that I would remember any of this, having not been born for another almost 20 years.

And my grandmother on my father's side used to play the piano in silent movie houses in the Philadelphia area. She was trained by someone taught by Franz Lizst.

eta: And my dad played the Queen Mum one night in Dame Edna's show.

A friend of mine is really into the whole acting thing, she's done a few independent films and tv movies, and tons of professional theatre. She's also been in a bunch of magazines (Teen Vogue, etc.).

My dad's friend lived in an apartment building with Ira Levin. Levin wrote a famous novel while the friends mom, Rosemary, was pregnant.

So technically, my dad is friends with the antichrist. Oops.

My friend's mother said he was nice, but she didn't get any sparks from him. It was a longggg time ago. Before he was a star. I believe it was her who didn't persue it. She laughs about it now, saying she should have stayed with him. However, then my friend wouldnt have been born . lol

My cousin Judy played Mame in Auntie Mame when she was in high school. She wore the same dress that Rosalind Russell wore in the movie.

Our neighbor who was a plumber unclogged Cher's toilet when she briefly lived in Buffalo, NY. I think Greg Allman was in rehab there during the 70s. At the time Buffalo had a prestigious drug rehab at the local medical center. He said Cher was very nice.

Also, an acquaintace I met at a party who was a handyman said he was working on grouting tiles in Madonna's kitchen. He was given strict instructions not to acknowledge her or he would be fired. She put some type of bread in the toaster oven and it began to burn. He did not call out to her since he was told not to so much as look at her. When she came back to find the bread charred and burning she asked him why he didn't tell her it was burning and he told her why. He said she glared at him and told him he was ridiculous. "I'm just a person" she scolded. He still got fired.
