re: So, what are we doing for Thanksgiving?

Hush Scrippsy, you should know I spend far too much money on tickets and programmes to be able to afford over-priced half-time dairy products. re: So, what are we doing for Thanksgiving?

My new ambition is to one day be TOTALLY able to take Reggie up on that offer! A real American Thanksgiving in my favourite US city (on the east side of the continent at least) hosted by a true gentleman! How could I refuse?!

You may be over-influenced by my avatar.

But I'd certainly show you both a good time--and stuff you to the gills.

Keep posting people. Moony and I need to make our travel plans. Need to figure out where we're going for appetizers, main course, dessert.

I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2.

re: So, what are we doing for Thanksgiving?

You're waiting until after dinner, Tink?
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. re: So, what are we doing for Thanksgiving?

I'm off to my aunt & uncle's in Ossining right in Westchester.
It's sure to be an interesting day of Georigan/Italian style cooking, UNO, and Limoncello.

We're opening the liquor cabinet at daylight on Thursday, so pre-dinner drinks at our place!

re: So, what are we doing for Thanksgiving?

Will be with family.
A smaller group this year, but am looking forward to the peace of the day.

I always do the holiday baking. I will make the pie crust tomorrow, and will assemble the pies on Thursday morning. While I'm watching the Parade, followed by the Dog Show (favorite traditions!).

Oh, the competition is fierce in my family! (Except we all end up losing... they never choose the dogs we love!).

We always tease that one year for Thanksgiving we are going to dress up like the judges and dog trainers. Their formal gowns, and suits just crack us up! (But we love them!)

My aunt's dog is going to be in the show this year I think!
I know he's going to Westminster for sure, so probably this one too.

Thank you Danmag. I shall devour your turkey with gluttony and then impress your in-laws with Weez' ice cream tub trick.

re: So, what are we doing for Thanksgiving?

I'll be getting up early on Thanksgiving, probably around 7 or 7:30. My mom is supposed to be taking out our frozen turkey a whole day before Thanksgiving, so I won't be waking up to the sounds of her beating the crap out it trying to take the innards out.

This is kind of an example of what happens. re: So, what are we doing for Thanksgiving?

I'll watch the parade, then the dog show. Then later on that night watch CNN Heroes.

re: So, what are we doing for Thanksgiving?

Well, as I said I'm not cooking, but if anyone would like to join us at my MIL's club you're more than welcome. It's on her dime.....LOL

I'll probably start drinking early in the day too, just to be able to handle my crazy SIL.

I love the dog show as well! I also need to DVR the Cowboys game. No I don't like football, but Daughtry is doing the half time show..yes, I'm obsessed.

re: So, what are we doing for Thanksgiving?

I wish I could have access to alcohol. Well, at least for the part when my one grandma will start in on the exact same stories about relatives in Florida and asking where all of my sisters are. Then it will end with a wonderfully fake and repeated song and dance on how she had such a good time. I swear, she has this thing rehearsed because it's the same every year. Word for word.

re: So, what are we doing for Thanksgiving?

Going to my son's house. We're having the usual turkey dinner. One interesting switch is that my 4 yr old granddaughter will be making the soup again. Her chicken noodle soup was excellent last year. She's been going through cookbooks staring at the full color pictures and decided on a Butternut Squash and Cranberry Chowder, saying, "This look good. I make it." We did a "rough draft" this weekend and it turned out to be quite good. Needs very few refinements.

As for me, I'm making a few no-sugar, low fat desserts. The pumpkin pie I made last year was topped with crystallized ginger, crumbled ginger snaps and dark chocolate chips. Everyone is asking me to make it again this year.
