artscallion- My girlfriend is from New England and this will be my first Thanksgiving at her families (my family is coming up too). Her mom and aunt eat the pie with cheese, but they put the two on separate serving platters so you don't have to have them together. I plan on trying it, should be interesting. What should I expect?
David walked into the valley
With a stone clutched in his hand
He was only a boy
But he knew someone must take a stand
There will always be a valley
Always mountains one must scale
There will always be perilous waters
Which someone must sail

@Jane...being 250 years old they usually get up about 3am. So dinner will probably be around 9am >.<
@jacob...it's hard to describe. After your first bite you'll think, "hmmm, this is different." then you'll either love it or hate it.

Thanksgiving sounds crazy for me this year. I already did a dinner tonight at my sister's house with her friends and boyfriend.
The plans so far sound like me and my parents are going into the city on Wednesday evening to see the balloons being blown up for the Macy's parade. Then we're probably going to sleep at my grandma's house. Thursday, we're planning to go to the parade and then do dinner at a diner or in Chinatown. That was my parent's idea. After that, we're going to pick up my grandma and then go to my other grandparent's house for dessert.
I'm excited for the parade, but I'm worried about getting bored visiting people. This will be the first year that none of my sisters are spending the holiday with the family. I know one is in California for school, so she can't get away. But, there is just too much drama otherwise.

Someone please invite me over so I can get away from my dad's girlfriend. I'm not thankful for her. She's mean to me.

I will be packing furiously due to the fact I will be moving to my new place on Sunday. I can't believe how much crap I have accumulated. I will probably get turkey and fixings from the store downstairs... pre made.

I'll be cooking for seventeen and loving every minute of it! Thank God for family and friends! I WILL replicate my deceased mom's Thanksgiving dinner! If any of you need a place to go... call me! We'd be glad to have you! Hope you all find peace during this season! And Danmag! I'll drink martinis after it's all over!

I'm not a big holiday fan and will be scrupulously avoiding my ex's house this year, despite the kids, who completely understand. There's so much tension out there between her and the kids, her and her husband and then you throw in the inevitable political discussion involving their ultra-right beliefs (and ultra-right in laws and extended family) and even the kids go running for cover.
Going to my partner's parent's house later in the afternoon and probably doing Cracker Barrel with my father and brother earlier in the day. Cracker Barrel? Yeah, I know, but they put out a suprisingly good spread for next to nothing ($8.99) that includes meal, drink and dessert.

OK, so I don't have a 'Bucket List', but I may start one just so I can put 'Thanksgiving Dinner at Cracker Barrel' at the top of the list.

http://www.firstgiving.com/race_for_cured <-- i'm doing that in the morning =] i'm very excited about it!
after, we (my mom, dad, and younger brother) are having a small meal at our house, and then we're going to my uncle's house after. this will be the first holiday in a LONG TIME that all the cousins will be together again, and i'm very excited about that, too! we always had holidays together when we were kids, but people moved out of state to go to school, people got married and had their own families, etc... so i'm really looking forward to seeing everyone =]
i honestly don't care what the food is, as long as there's pumpkin pie.

We're hosting for 12 (possibly more). The preparations began last week and we go into overdrive tonight.
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

"The bag is actually made of chocolate?"
Just melt chocolate, paint the inside of a paper lunch bag with it, chill it til set, then tear the paper bag off.

It is- The three of us will probably be able to tackle it.
You can make 'em smaller with teeny bags (or cupcake cups) as scallion directed, but there is something so decadent about that huge lunch bag full of goodies- You eat the mousse and berries and break the bag up into chucks to gnaw on.

Errrrrr, Reggie...
How come Weez gets an invitation and I don't?
Do you know what her table manners are like?
If what she does with a tub of ice cream at the interval is anything to go by, I don't think you'd want to know!

It was mean before she got a hold of it. It was drunk after. She's merciful that way.

Scripps, merely because she posted here first. Now, of course, you've made her seem even more entertaining.
