Sue, I don't think it's got a Hollindaise sauce on it. It's got egg, havarti cheese and spinach. It's quite tasty.

Jane, I suppose......just strikes me as odd when there are so many more issues to complain about that perhaps we have no say in at this moment, and that we do......I'm just in a mood.......didn't have my Starbuck's today......
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story...

LOL, I think we can cover them all here, ELph!
Well, there are things we can't do anything about, and things we can, but that doesn't mean we have to like them, right?
BWW is a great place to vent, don't you think? And we love you no matter what mood you're in!

Love4Cheno, my drink every morning is an Iced Grande Light-Iced Doppio (AKA Light-Iced Doppio In A Grande Cup). But I fill it with my own milk. I drink lactose free milk, which Starbucks doesn't offer, so with the grande cup there's just enough room for me to fill the cup with my own shot of vanilla syrup and fat free lactose free milk. It's $2.11 as well.
Any idea of what date the price increase goes into effect?

Caribou has better coffee anyway. The customer service got so bad at the Starbucks in my office building (the entire staff quit in a matter of weeks), virtually everyone I know switched to Caribou and is much happier.

I can't stand Starbucks. We have so many independently owned and cute little neighborhood coffee shops in the world.
Go to those.

There is one independently owned, cute little neighborhood coffee shop in my neighborhood. The drink that I get at Starbucks for $2.11 costs $2.75 there. In addition, these independently owned, cute little neighborhood coffee shops offer their employees little to no security or benefits, while Starbucks offers health insurance to part-time employees, 401K to full-time employees, and plenty of room for growth in the company. Starbucks also offers their employees every single level of LGBT equality benefits. I think I'll support Starbucks.

Ah, Trekkie...so my "." wasn't there.
Ah, yes, that pesky little dot. Which just happens to completely alter your point.
Besides, that's only the 9 cents a day. Now add that to your regular starbucks order.
Fair enough. But, that wasn't what you were you talking about; you were pointing out just how much the increase would add.
You'd be pretty surprised how much you actually spend in a year if you drink starbucks each day (or often).
Well, see, no, I wouldn't be. Because I understand how math works.

I had a regular iced coffee today, because I had almost forgotten what they tasted like.
Blech!
The iced dopio is soooooo much better.

I was told today that the price change goes into effect on July 31, same date as the start of summer phase 3.
I was told that the reason prices are going up is because the cost of milk, coffee, and energy is raising everywhere. And of course, those are all things that highly impact Starbucks. We've started warning our regulars about the upcoming price increase, and none of them have seemed to worried about it. I guess when you get $5 worth of coffee every day, an extra 9 cents doesn't make that much difference.
PS--they also give free stock options to part time employees.

I did go back in today, ordered a tall iced coffee light on the ice. I finished it very quickly, so maybe I'll have to order grande.

More power to them. I on other hand will have my yummy Iced Coffee from Dunkin Donuts as usual, because you know, America does run on Dunkin, not Starbucks.

Since all this price-raising talk has been going on, I've started to listen in on what people order at Starbucks. For me, I only ever order hot or iced coffee (or Americano, as it is the same price). Perhaps once or twice a year I'll have a Frap. And every Xmas I do love a peppermint mocha. But I can't ge over just how many people order this extremely complex, expensive coffee drinks. I mean...for those prices, I wan't Jesus himself making it. And I want a handjob from Gyllenhal.

I usually keep my orders simple, a double tall latte usually - or a venti latte If I am about to get the train and have plenty of time to drink it.
If it is hot I am partial to a venti java chip frappacino though.
