I can see so much resemblance between Danny Lockin and Robert Morse.
Looks like Sunday, sweet Sunday, is the day for me:
SUNDAY, JANUARY 13, 2008:
10:00 AM Country Girl, The (1954)
While trying to help her husband make a comeback, an alcoholic singer's wife fights her love for another man. Cast: Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, William Holden. Dir: George Seaton. BW-104 mins.
12:00 PM Talk Of The Town, The (1942)
An escaped political prisoner and a stuffy law professor vie for the hand of a spirited schoolteacher. Cast: Cary Grant, Jean Arthur, Ronald Colman. Dir: George Stevens. BW-118 mins.
2:00 PM Miracle of Morgan's Creek, The (1944)
During World War II, a 4F tries to help the woman he loves cover up a surprise pregnancy. Cast: Eddie Bracken, Betty Hutton, William Demarest. Dir: Preston Sturges. BW-98 mins.
Ah - The Talk of the Town is my hands-down favorite there. I always thought it must be absolute heaven to be living with Ronald Coleman and have Cary Grant tucked away upstairs. I mean - you just can't lose!
TCM right now The Shining Hour. Was the Widow Steele putting me on with that dance sequence?
Tonight "A Trip to Bountiful" was on.
Geraldine Page gave such an amazing performance. She was an incredible actress. Actually everyone in the movie is perfect.
Anyone else watch?

I love Geraldine Page. She was such an amazing actress. If she were alive today she could read me the telephone book and I'd listen to every word.
Wow! Did you see that?
Clark has never been sexier and every time I hear Jeanette singing "San Francisco" I start crying!
I absolutely LOVE this channel!
I started A TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL but didn't finish it.
Ruby Keeler and James Cagney hoofin' it to Shanghai Lil - FANTASTIC!
Just got home from work and turned it on.
It's heaven Mamie!
That James Cagney is a cute son of a gun!
LOL! It just ended.
Need to see the whole thing.
Looks right up my alley.
"Something to Sing About" next.
This shows promise and from the list that follows I may not get any sleep tonight. Ready Tanny?
It was SO much fun! I wish I could stay up for the next one. I just love Jimmy!
If the man didn't have ballet training he had an extremely intelligent eye!
I LOVE Footlight Parade. I can't believe I missed it.
But it sounds like this next one is hardly ever shown. I will forever find it amazing that this actor known primarily as a serious actor with a tough-guy image is such a nimble dancer!
I love watching him dance. He has a very unique style that you just never see anyone else do. Watch him marching across the stage in Yankee Doodle Dandy and he extends his foot and leg with each step and looks almost like a ballet dancer. He always seems to be dancing a couple of inches off the floor!
(Hi Miss P!)
Hey, Mamie!
This bit about the Japanese "butler" named "Ito" is hilarious...and amazingly "politically correct"!
Did y'all see what's on tonight?
Are they doing their 31 days of Oscar this year? I always find myself glued to TCM every February when they run those movies.
Oh, THOSE old things?
Only two of my favorites.
I actually have an original prop from the fabulous Oscar-winning "From Hear To Eternity." Monty's duffel bag that he carries over his shoulder in his first scene. It's even stenciled with his character name on it: Robert E. Lee Pruitt.
It couldn't have gone to a better guy!
At 10pm Moutain Time -
THE WORLD's GREATEST ATHLETE
corny as heck! but so much fun to see JMV in a loincloth again after all these years ...
