touch pads are very sensitive but you have to hit them hard enough for it to register - that's why most swimmers flat hand it instead of using fingertips - the Serb quit swimming before he got to the touchpad - he just glided in
another thing - if those touchpads extend up high enough Phelps might have hit it coming over the top before the Serb fingertipped
