Man, the one night I went to be early, and I won't get to watch tonight. Sounds like it was a great night for team USA. Woo-hoo!!!

I love watching MSNBC's coverage during the day. I've already seen Badminton, archery, and now some weird bike race.

So I'm watching the medal ceremony from the all-around and as the man is handing Nastia the flowers you can hear him say "Don't cry it's a great day. Don't cry please don't cry smile. Good work" .

wickedrentq- my sentiments exactly! That's why I love Nastia. Does anyone know if they are even gonna cover Rhythymic (sp?)gymnastics? If so- when?

nbc.com has a very detailed - albeit somewhat clunky - online schedule. Rhythmic gymnastics quals are next Thursday during the daytime.

They'll probably show rhythmic gymnastics on some channel, but probably not on NBC prime time. Probably on MSNBC, CNBC, or USA.

When did the trampoline become a medal event in the Olympics?
Has it replaced synchronized swimming?

Synchro swimming is still in. Trampoline has been around since at least the Olympics prior to these.

They should bring back tug-of-war.

It's been a pleasure. Really.

I'm so glad many of us are able to share our passion, interest, anger, laughs (and libido?), comments, criticism, anxiety and thrill of The Games together!!!

Gaaah, I tried to post a picture of Aaron Peirsol's bedroom eyes, but no-go.

Speaking of body parts, did anyone notice Michael Phelp's feet? NBC was doing a close-up of his feet on the starting block and how he sort of grips the front with his toes. I noticed that the top of his feet are hairy. Hmmm, I wonder why he doesn't shave those. Updated On: 8/15/08 at 07:00 PM

Yeah, I noticed his toe-hairs (hahaha this feels Josh Strickland-y). He probably draws-the-line there.... ain't no razor sensitive enough to manuever around toe-knuckles. He'd have to pluck and that's just madness. His feet were so massive. Gotta be some fetishers writhing over that :)

Eug, toe waxing is torture. So, I can see why he prefers the fur.

Watching the Nastia/Shawn interview with Costas:

Nastia has such a fluidic mouth as she talks... watch the corners of her mouth... like a radio wave. So pretty.

Shawn's really cute... she's working and struggling to express herself with her 16 y/o vocabulary and language-maturity.

These are girls in a very serious sport but we have to remember how young they still are!!!
