My wife and I both loved it. The Whitney moment at the end was BRILLIANT and hilarious - we've been citing it all week.

It is definitely a strong R. There's an argument about a specific bodily function that, while hilarious, is VERY dirty.

Wouldn't the "double nickel" be 10?

Hard R for sure. This was the second movie in a row I saw that had the teenage POW camp outside. My local AMC lines up the teenagers whose parents buy the tickets and leave after walking them in. Then, they hand the teens a phone to call their parents one by one if they're not 18. It's a riot. I never had to experience it since my parents would just see the R movies with me or make me wait for the VHS/DVD release.

The banter between Franco and McBride about "unloading" was some of the funniest stuff I've heard in a while.

It was good to see some of those people get swallowed by the fiery hole in the ground.

In 2023 John Adams will be able to go to the early bird special

Just saw the film and I thought it was funny, but not as hilarious as others have said it was. With that being said, that McBride-Franco banter banter was some of the best material in the film. Another scene stealer was the Channing Tatum part, I think I laughed for a good minute about that whole leash thing. Great cameos over all. Michael Cera had me in stitches.

Sidenote was anyone else happy when Rihanna fell down the hole? I personally clapped. Then I realized that it wasn't real and we would still have to deal with her infernal caterwauling on live television award shows.

As person who has never really been a fan of Seth Rogan and who knew nothing about Danny McBride or Craig Robinson, I could not believe how funny I found this movie. Michael Cera and the Capri Sun just about did me in. I was pissing myself.

Don't know what a double nickel is either, but as a 56 year old, I was laughing my ass off for a good 45 minutes of the hour and a half movie. Sure it lost steam from time to time, and it could have REALLY used the presence of a cool girl (sorry, Emma Watson, but I was really dreaming of Sarah Silverman) just to add a little estrogen relief to the mix. High points were definitely the Pineapple Express montage, Channing Tatum in fetish mask and jockstrap, and the Whitney-flavored final sequence which just had me grinning from ear to ear. And yes, I've been trying to describe those last 5 minutes to all my friends who didn't want to see this.

finally got around to seeing this last night and absolutely LOVED it!

yes the James Franco and Danny McBride banter was just hilarious, not just the dialogue but the hand gestures just added to it!

the dialogue regarding rape was also a great scene...

i also got a sense that this was a movie with movie star friends who like each other and just wanted to work together... not like the Oceans 11 movies where it felt like movie stars getting together to show that they know each other and were quite pretentious...
