Cuba looks absolutely nothing like OJ so there ya go....
Umm from those pics you posted, they actually look fairly similar.
Aren't Britten and Resnick different races??

Ummmm, I don't know what pics you are looking at Tag but they look nothing alike. They don't even possess the same build.

Connie Britton looks absolutely nothing like Faye Resnick. I have no idea why they picked her. I don't know if she could act but Evelyn Lozada could have played a young Faye Resnick.

I'd say overall performance is more important than similarities in facial structure

I agree, but in Britton and Travolta's case there performances are coming off (to me) as cartoonish. Gooding, Jr. is serviceable but he doesn't seem menacing enough to me.
IMHO, not even the performances are saving this turkey.

I disagree about Britton. She is avoiding posing and parody I think they should do the Ramsey case next year and Faith Prince can play the mother with John Rubenstein as the father.

Next year is Katrina. Those two are too old to play JonBenet's parents anyway.
Speaking of parents, did anyone find the scene with Ron Goldman's father uncomfortable? There was something off about that performance. Maybe it was the mustache.

Two of a Kind was on TV the other day, I finally watched it this morning. Wow John Travolta was a perfect specimen. Those bright blue eyes, those abs! Movie was awful but fun awful.

LOL @ Petralicious.
Yes. John Travolta was total eye candy in the early 1980s.

It's very strange ( or not considering it's this board) but the reviews are very positive and personally I think they are doing a great job with this.

I was happy to see Joe Siravo (my first Gyp DeCarlo!) but I think it was supposed to be uncomfortable. Maybe it's the high voice that was a little off, but I think that's how Goldman actually sounded.

I ignored the reality version of this when it was on television twenty years ago and so knew nothing about it other than American-sportsman-gets-away-with-murder-and-consequentially-the-1997-Chicago-revival-is-much-more-successful-than-the-1975-outing.
I had to google Kardashian to find out if David Schwimmer's character was (a) a pastor, (b) a PR manager or (c) a lawyer.
I had to google Kardashian again to find out why his children came into it.
And I didn't think John Travolta was giving a bad performance; I just assumed his character suffered a speech impediment resulting from bad plastic surgery.
I'm enjoying it immensely.

What case?
"The Jon Bonet Ramsey case where the little beauty pageant girl was found murdered in her basement and they never figured out who killed her. And her parents and brother were all suspicious for different reasons,
I thought the Marcia Clark Episode was very well done and Sarah Paulson did a great job of making her empathetic. I remember watching the trial and thinking that Marcia Clark came across as a smart woman and she was not off-putting in any way. It was the verdict that was so shocking.

If there's one thing this show does, I hope it does make people respect Marcia Clark more.
As for the Ramsey case--the issue was there was never a case (though I have no idea where they would focus on one for Hurricane Katrina, but given that this show has been a success, Ryan Murphy will probably take over headwriting duties and create something...)

What about the Casey Anthony case?

Or the Boston marathon bomber case? That was riveting.

Actually Marcia Clark came off pretty well during the hearings. She was smart and somewhat likeable. And it was cool at that time to see a woman representing the people. I really don't remember the rags, talk shows and naked photos. And I remember thinking that Furhman was kind of hot looking. I loved how they would show people watching their television's and confusing the court proceedings as a scripted drama.
I seem to remember with the Ramsey case that there were some spoiled evidence issues as well. But of course now they say she is alive and is a singer named Katie Perry.

I loved Paulson giving Clark a backbone while she was crumbling inside. I can't wait for the return of Furhman next week,

I agree Travolta and Britton come off as if they are in a completely different series. They're doing slapstick (not particularly well) while the rest of the cast are attempting subtle, deft performances (and almost all of them succeeding; some including Paulson, Brown, and Vance, quite brilliantly). Lane handles his schtick with a very soft touch and is very effective.
