seems appropriate to bump this thread....
And, I have been doing this for 6 months! That's the longest I have ever stuck with something!

Congratulations Jerby! That is a very long time to stick to a diet.
I meant to bump this thread last weekend to brag about having lost the weight I gained over the holidays. Three weeks off program (I have no holiday self control) and a gain of 4 lbs, then ONE week back on and they're all gone.

fanTASTIC!
I've never had this much luck during the holidays--it's usually gain ten pounds--not lose or at least maintain.

CONFESSION TIME!
Who all is HUNGRY? Either the weather/time of year is making me wanna eat or I've been eating too much sugar. I haven't gained weight yet, but I am HUNGRY. lol
I've been eating like crap though--following the plan, but not the best foods for sating my appetite.
Have I mentioned I'M HUNGRY!
#330re: The BWW Weight Watchers Club
Posted: 1/21/06 at 6:34pmI'm on a diet now!!

Are you HUNGRY??
lol--I prob need to be better about what I am eating. Wasting all your points on stuffed mushrooms and chocolate would leave someone just a lil HUNGRY.
#332re: The BWW Weight Watchers Club
Posted: 1/21/06 at 6:43pmNot at the moment, since I'm have my sushi dinner.

#335re: The BWW Weight Watchers Club
Posted: 1/21/06 at 6:52pmoooooooh! Well that certainly would be a great way to keep one's self preoccupied! And no points get used up--I think. In fact, exercise earns points.

Exactly.
That said, I'm eating real sushi. Rice and rolls and edamame.
Excellent diet fare! I don't need some BWW Idol judge telling me to lose the weight.

I re-joined WW right after Xmas - a friend told me "why don't you wait until after New Years?!" and I said I wanted to get a week in advance. I couldn't wait. I HAD to do something.
As of this weigh-in morning, I've lost 12.2 pounds with 15 to 20 more to go. Yes, I'm an obsessive points nazi, who drives my friends insane ("WILL YOU SHUT UP ABOUT YOUR WEIGHT LOSS AND OBSESSING OVER YOUR POINTS ALREADY?")
And I think about food All. The. Time.

Well, Master, I can't say I've ever thought you needed to lose weight, stud.
But congrats on doing it! And, I was able to enjoy the holidays AND keep on keepin on, so good for you for starting early!

Master, that's fantastic!
I myself don't own a scale, so will just be going on the "how the clothes fit" method of gauging my progress.

Thanks, jrb! I didn't think I was going to do well this week, and I had forgotten the "OhMYGOD, I can't eat ANYTHING tonight because I have weigh in first thing in the morning!!!"
Who are your favorite leaders? Mine are Michael (the best), Hal and a Brazilian guy who leads on 14th st (or did a long time ago...haven't seen him in AGES)
And which leaders will send you out the door screaming?
Lonette TERRIFIES me.

I feel so mean in dishing her, BUT imagine a voodoo Philicia Rashad with ten pounds of makeup. That's Lonette.
And she is VERY. INTENSE.
#343re: The BWW Weight Watchers Club
Posted: 1/21/06 at 7:23pmWell this IS VERY INTENSE. Because I'M HUNGRY!

I totally sympathize! I was doing South Beach about 2 years ago, but couldn't continue once it got cold. I felt like the food just didn't warm me up. I blame the weather for me quitting the program..it's a good excuse, no?
But seriously, I do think these diets are designed by people who are in warm climates and can't appreciate a really good warm, stick to your ribs, kind of meal.

Well I can eat anything on WW--I just need to know what would make me feel warm and not HUNGRY.
This is where I may refer back to my South Beach book. Perhaps a piece of cheese will stop my hunger.

Cheese is good....or a hard boiled egg. Those two always kept me going on South Beach.
Personally, I just need to go eat some real food...and not just the Dove Dark Chocolate hearts I bought at CVS!

I just started Jenny Craig. It's been one week now. I need to get down to my "fighting weight" again. I can't stand feeling uncomfortable.
So, I'm takin' my diminishing butt to Ms. Craig's for my first weigh-in tomorrow. The food is great, and my clothes are already a tad loose, and my energy level is WAY up. And I worked out today and did cardio.
I almost feel pretty, even. It's an old battle, but I'm glad I'm waging war again. It makes such a difference in my whole attitude when I'm taking care of myself physically.
