Well, the definitions of obese are so low that I would have been considered obese--and people who have met me would NEVER have said that.
The great thing about WW (and hopefully other diets) is that if you have a week where you start going nuts with food, you can always start again new the next day or with your next week. And that notion helps me. It's easy to think, "well Ive messed up! I should just give up! It's all ruined!". No, it's not. Keep going!

Posted: 1/23/06 at 2:08pmI'm having a very difficult time keeping up with my diet since the holidays. I've only managed to lose one pound, and it keeps on finding it's way back. Ugh.

I'm going through the same thing. It's a tough time of year. I say, be positive that you ARE maintaining. And keep that up.
Additionally, plateaus happen. Just be patient. Know that it's part of the process and don't let it stop inspiring you from doing something so good for yourself!

Posted: 1/23/06 at 2:13pmThe weird thing is that I'm pretty much eating the same as I was when I lost the weight. *sigh* This getting old thing is no fun.

Using the Body Mass Index, I am considered on the cusp of obesity at 6'4", 200 lbs.

You are so not obese, SOMMS. And, neither are you DD. You are both studly men!
You are prob in a plateau, DD. If you do WW online, check out the message boards for advice.

BMI's are the wrong indicators anyways.
Body fat percentages are much more accurate, but can be a pain to take the old way. Which is with calipers and several places on your body to be pinched. I dunno how accurate the new electronic meter is though. No pinching involved...

Well... according to BMIs, I'm supposed to weigh like 160/165. There's NO WAY I could ever weigh that. I'd look like the walking dead. I go mostly by how I look anyway. Though I now know what weight feels good... and it's not the current one.

BMI = Bull**** (that) Makes (you) Insane
According to my BMI, I am overweight, yet...
I have visible abs.
If that's fat, god help us all.

This is also a tough time of the year--so keep strong!
I have been so naughty, but I either lose a lil or float around the same weight.
Let us know!

Awesome, spidey!! Now, just remember that from here on, normal and HEALTHY loss will be about .5 to 3 pounds a week. I usually lost 1.5 a week. And some weeks I gained--but then lost the next. Just remember that!
