Oh well, I just started working out again, so hopefully it will show next week.

Jerby - great new pic - you really have done a lot of work! And that smile could ALMOST be described as smug

oh yeah--that's my smug shot. (rim shot)
But it is not my headshot. Finally chose the two I am using today. I may display them as inspiration that if this fat kid can become a lil hottie--you can, too!

ARE YOU CALLING ME FAT!
j/k...lol. Ok I took my first major baby step yesterday...I had just got out of a performance for "Oklahoma!" and I went to McDonalds (I know it's still alot of calories and it's not the best place to go for lunch but still...) and instead of getting the usual 2 cheeseburgers, medium fries, and dr. pepper, I got one cheeseburger, small fries, and a water. I know it's not that big of a deal but for me it is. And I was actually suprised that I was full when I finished my meal. I wasn't "overly-stuffed" like I normally am but I was "comfortably-full". Next on my list is to cut out McDonalds to maybe twice a month...if I can do that. lol. This morning for breakfast I ate a palm-full (1/4 cup) of peanuts and once again I was full. I didn't realize you could survive untill you next meal with just a hand full of peanuts. lol. My main problem is stopping when i get full, I want ot keep eating untill everything is off my plate. I have gotten into the habit of going out to eat and getting a normal meal then when I get full I put my napkin over my plate so I'll stop eating. I normally have the waitor come and get the food so I won't be tempted to eat it just because it's there. :p

It is a big deal though! You are making an effort to change the way you eat and view food. That's a very big deal. You have to start somewhere.
As SP78 said, weight loss requires a lifestyle change and it isn't a quick fix.
The longest and most rewarding journey always starts with one step.
Congrats and good for you!

Oh, Kitzy knows she needs to lose about 30-35 pounds. She's just too lazy to actually go out there and do it

Posted: 2/24/06 at 11:17amlol...*Addreses Kitzarina* when i read your post I looked over at your avatar and pictured a little girl running into a room full of fat ppl, screaming that, then runing out...lol. ok *looks around feeling really stupid* It was just one of those moments...lol. Thanx Patronus I really appreciate the encouragement. Now I know where you all are coming from abotu eating your usual 3 meals. You can't survive forever on just one meal a day, and then when you come to that point where you eat 3 again you'll stuff yourself...so I've started eating all three meals again, even if it's just something small, like peanuts. I have actually started eating a peanut butter sandwich on wheat bread for b-fast. I only put about 2 teaspoons of PB on one slice of bread because for 2 table spoons its like 190 calories, then I cut it in half. For some odd reason when I cut my sandwich in half I get full quicker, I guess I feel like I'm eating two sandwiches or something. I eat that for breakfast because it fills me up and throughout the day I walk it off. :)

Eating breakfast is really important, when you start eating, your body starts metabolizing the food. When I started losing my weight years ago, I went from a cheeseburger to a hamburger (bye 100 calories) Drop the bun (another bunch of calories). Tuna in oil- Tuna in water with some lemon juice and onion instead of mayo and there's another couple hundred calories.
Instead of the fries, get a salad or a baked potato at Wendy's .
For breakfast, have some oatmeal or some eggo whole wheat waffles.
You'll have more energy and be more alert throughout the day.

Maybe I should change this thread title to The Skinny Bitches Thread or Lifestyles of the Thin & Gorgeous.

OK - so the sexy jeans were snug yesterday. I felt jiggly in ballet class, and if anyone recalls my famous skirt ripping incident of a few weeks ago...it's time, my friends, for peach to drop a few lbs. 15 to be precise.
I have never been a big fan of WW (I tried it a few years ago) because of all the counting and measuring and writing down, but last night, I dug out my points slider and I'm going to give it a shot - following the SB "way" of eating (I prefer natural foods to packaged foods), but I'm planning on counting points as well.
So - I'm giving it another shot - wish me luck! And I have to say, reading this thread gave me a boost. Now I'm nice and motivated...thanks!

Congrats, peach! I was really skeptical of WW watchers as well for the same reasons, but it's working for me.
I have a spreadsheet with the weight watchers formula in it that makes it really easy to tabulate points in any food that you have the Nutritional info for. If you'd like it, just send me a PM with your email address and I'll send it over later tonight.

Patronus, I'm VERY excited for you!
I tried on some jeans this weekend. They were a little tight, but they were another size smaller than I have been wearing. I freaked! It's a good, good thing.

That's awesome!
I had a similar experience this weekend. I had to go to the mall and buy a new pair of jeans because my other pairs were all too big. I went down a size. Good times indeed.
