Oh, I can cook, too, on top of the rest, My seafood's the best in the town. And I can cook, too. My fish can't be beat, My sugar's the sweetest around. I'm a man's ideal of a perfect meal Right down to the demi-tasse. I'm a pot of joy for a hungry boy, Baby, I'm cookin' with gas. Oh, I'm a gumdrop, A sweet lollipop, A brook trout right out of the brook, And what's more, baby, I can cook!
Some girls make magazine covers, Some girls keep house on a dime, Some girls make wonderful lovers, But what a lucky find I'm. I'd make a magazine cover, I do keep house on a dime, I make a wonderful lover, I should be paid overtime!
'Cause I can bake, too, on top of the lot, My oven's the hottest you'll find. Yes, I can roast too, My chickens just ooze, My gravy will lose you your mind. I'm a brand new note On a table d'hôte, But just try me à la carte. With a single course You can choke a horse. Baby, you won't know where to start! Oh, I'm an hors d'oeuvre, A jelly preserve, Not in the recipe book, And what's more, baby, I can cook!
Baby, I'm cookin' with gas. Oh, I'm a gumdrop, A sweet lollipop, A brook trout right out of the brook, And what's more, baby, I can cook!
Some girls make wonderful jivers, Some girls can hit a high "C", Some girls make good taxi drivers, But what a genius is me. I'd make a wonderful jiver, I even hit a high "C", I make the best taxi driver, I rate a big Navy "E"!
'Cause I can fry, too, on top of the heap, My Crisco's as deep as a pool. Yes, I can broil, too, My ribs get applause, My lamb chops will cause you to drool. For a candied sweet Or a pickled beet, Step up to my smorgasbord. Walk around until You get your fill. Baby, you won't ever be bored! Oh, I'm a paté, A marron glacé, A dish you will wish you had took. And what's more, baby, I can cook!!
I wanted to get the last ten off - but no can do this summer - too many guests and too many appetisers. And, I only exercise when allowed by the trouble and strife.
OTA: Smoked or lightly salted almonds. Fruit of almost any sort, though the juicier ones will contain less bulk should you not want to fill up too much before dinner. Popcorn is immensely snackable, particularly if it's naturally popped and lightly salted as well...
I am certain that Sugar Smacks before bed is not on anyone's diet!!!! But, that it what I had last night. They were tasty. Apparently that is the one sugared cereal the kids do not like.
I have a bag of Jelly Belly's in my fridge, and every day I set out a little condiment bowl (they're pretty tiny) and that's my allowance of bad-girl food for the day. It's been a week and it's worked - that way I don't get sweet cravings and eat through a big bowlful of ice cream or something.

Isn't the trick though? And it's something we "knew" all along, but WW helps reinforce it. Eat a little bit. It will solve the desire and not kill your "diet".
My roomie brought me back choc covered soy nuts from Trader Joes--the best! 1/4 cup is 4 points. I thought, "ugh"! But then I realized that that is PLENTY.
I'm thinking of buying a pint of Ben & Jerry's and seeing how long I can make it last!
i know barbara cook has been doing the points program. or at least she was. lost a bunch of weight, too. she was really inspiring when she talked about it. when i saw PIAZZA i thought--i may never eat again! those girls are sticks! do i have to be a stick?
I'm so glad this thread is here. I've been sort of slacking lately...OK, who am I kidding? I've been slacking for months and I was in desperate need for inspiration.
Finding new, excited members is just what I need. I've been on WW for 2 years and even though yes, it works...it is not so easy to follow religiously for 2 years. New ideas and new blood is what I need.
I'm recommiting! I've lost 51 lbs and am trying to lose 20 more.
I forgot to thank you all for your helpful snack hints the other day - I'm loving my almonds and popcorn... this thread is constantly in the back of my mind - like this morning, when I wanted to ditch the oatmeal for a cream donut! Thank you, thank you!
And you do have to allow for "slippage" (that doesn't sound right), otherwise, you set yourself up for failure in terms of cutting out ALL "bad" food. Even if you just want a bit, ask if they can do "half" orders of stuff. In the end, a lot of s is about portion control...
