Has it really been two months? Time for a "help me" bump.
Oy! Depressing! I'm exactly where I was in my last post on this thread. Stuck in that wasteland between 160 and 165. Grr!
I've cut out snacks for the most part, mostly because I'm not really hungry when my usual snack time was anymore. Basically, I've cut myself down to about 1,500 calories a day, compared to my previous controlled diet of about 2,200 calories, largely because an extremely busy schedule has cut down on my gym time somewhat. That's still enough to statisfy me, and I still make it to the gym at least two or three times a week for a 90-minute workout each time.
So -- I know it's not good to get too hung up on numbers, but I haven't moved in 2 months. Plus, my goal isn't to gain muscle mass. I'm an endomorph, so I'll never be able to get much in the way of muscle mass. I just want to get rid of hideous fat. So what now?

Thanks for bumping Calvin! I know the guys will have some advice for you.
I am so in need of this thread right now.
I am a horrid stress eater, and my life right now is S-T-R-E-S-S. I haven't really gained, I've been fluctuating between the same 5 pounds for the last two months, but I am definitely feeling flabbier. I am trying to get back into a workout schedule for the millionth time, but it's been tough because I am working 60 hours a week and I come home absolutely exhausted.
This thread definitely should get hopping again.

Back on topic - I'm doing really well. Dance classes are not the near-death experiences they used to be!
I walked the reservoir twice with a friend on Saturday - that's 1.57 miles around, and I walk about a mile to meet her there.

I'm bumping for people who, like me, do WW online and don't visit any pages other than the points tracker. One of my coworkers told me this morning that they've changed the points calculating system a tiny bit. If you go to your profile there should be a link to the "Personal Points Quiz." There are just three questions, but you might wind up with a few extra daily points. I got 1, my coworker got 2 and said she has a friend who wound up getting 9 extra. It's worth a look.
I've been doing better lately than I have in a very long time. My sister is getting married this weekend and hopefully my bridesmaid dress will not only fit but look damn good on me.

The 9 points guy apparently has a very active job. Unfortunately my job involves a lot of sitting at a desk.
Thanks Stephen.
It would probably help if I wasn't going to spend most of the time posing with my two tiny sisters with their metabolisms that allow them to eat whatever they please. But I suppose I'll live.

Ok--that's weird. Despite choosing that I sit for my job, I gained 6 points a day. I went from 22 points a day to 28. And yet, I only seemed to lose weight when I actually stuck to the 22 points. This is a little frustrating and confusing. Or maybe WW realized that some people were eating too little?
Well, I'm still in the same weight area I have been in for over a year. My thing now is exercising again, which has been excellent for the way I look and feel. But, I just don't seem to lose that much weight. Granted, I think I have spent the last year replacing fat weight with muscle weight and then vice versa and now vice versa again aka my weight hasn't really changed, but my body certainly has.
I'm in a good place at the moment. A friend gave me a sweater of his that he is allergic to. It fits perfectly and is really cute on me. And it's a Gap XS.

I think part of it is taking into account that you're male and likely have a higher muscle mass than most women.
Apparently, again according to my coworker, there have been mass freakouts on the WW message boards from people who are winding up losing points and going down to 18 daily. The obvious voice of reason is if what you were doing before is working for you, just don't implement the change.
Congratulations Jerby, it sounds like you're doing really well.

Posted: 12/12/06 at 1:28pmHaven't seen this thread in a while! Glad to hear everyone's doing well!. i am maintaining my 15 lb loss. I would like to lose five more, but haven't counted points in a month. I find exercise every day helps me A LOT. I think if I go back to countring the points I can probably shake that last five.

I'm the same way. I realized I had good intentions of working out in the evening, but after work, I'm usually too wiped out to even think about exercising.
So, I bought myself a few DVDs with 30-45 minute workouts. I do one every morning - get up, get out of bed, put my sneakers on, have a coffee and work out. Once I got into the routine, it was easier to do it daily. Now I'm finished working out before I even get ready for work and don't need to think about it later in the day. I didn't think I was a morning workout person, but it's working for me. As long as I'm consistent, I keep seeing results.

You have to find what works for you.
Sometimes I am too tired to go to dance class, but the way I motivate myself for Mondays, when I have ballet and tap, is that I love tap. So I can say, okay, get through ballet, and tap is your reward!
Thursdays, which are ballet and then jazz (and our jazz syllabus is yoga/pilates/jazz - really strenuous) is much harder to motivate for. I'm still working on making that one every week.

The Biggest Loser workout DVD? Hmmm...
I particularly like Gilad, myself...he's HARD, tho! I've also been doing something called Budokan which is 20 minutes of yoga, 20 minutes of martial arts punching and kicking. And the guy who does it is shirtless and kind of looks like Frederick Weller so the tape has...dual purpose.
Just had a slice of pizza and a pack of M&Ms....the winter always gets me!
