Orangeskittles, too funny. I can't stomach Sandra "phoney beyotch" Lee for one minute.
Ina = classy
Paula = trashy
Sandra L. = just plain slutty
msnbc.com once referred to Ina's social group as her "chirpy friends."
I appreciate Ina's recipes because they often use only a few ingredients and they are relatively easy to make. Plus, she always has a cocktail to pair with the meal! I have had great success with her recipes. Oh, and skittles, she is on about a dozen times a week!
As for Rachel, I think even she is tired of her shtick. She looks so bored in the new shows this season. I do like her magazine, however.

"Actually, she invited Susan Stroman, who said she was bringing a guest. Mel Brooks was the surprise guest."
And suddenly Ina realized her pork themed dinner wouldn't work. So she put on her shoes and ran to Katz Deli for some pastrami and corned beef.

"I loved watching Sandra Lee massacre food at 4:30, then Ina make it all better at 5."
Orange, you're so right Sandra Lee can seriously screw some sh*t up!!! What the hell is up with those, dare I say, hideously tacky "table-scapes"? WTF is she thinking each week? I swear she's huffing paint or something with some of those themes. And not to mention her age has really caught up with her in the past few months. She looks a HAWT mess.
My personal favorites on the Food Network are "Ask Aida" and Nigella. I really have no other reason than the fact that they're both hot. GRRRR!! Yep I'm shallow.
My favorite Sandra Lee episodes are the holiday episodes. There is the one where she made a Hanukkah cake that wasn't kosher, as well as a Kwanzaa cake, which was a chocolate cake with black, red and green candles sticking out of the top. That and the Christmas cocktail party. The meal consisted of 3 cocktails.
Sorry, I've gone off on my Sandra tangent on too many threads here. I do love Ina Garten, though. She makes me wish I cared about cooking.

Not to turn this into a bash Sandra Lee thread, but her holiday cakes are a mess. The Kwanzaa cake had corn nuts on it. There's nothing that says poor white trash quite like corn nuts on a holiday cake.

"Corn nuts...."
heh, I love Heathers.
"I loved watching Sandra Lee massacre food at 4:30, then Ina make it all better at 5. "
exactly.
I loved the episode with Mel Brooks as the surprise guest. And the one when she catered the Young Frankenstein party.
I'm watching Ina right now. She's about to have some of her gay friends over for cocktails on the porch.
And yeah. Sandra Lee. Terrible.

OK Sandra Lee just annoys me no end. What about when she has her nephew "Brycer" on and cooks him food a kid wouldn't eat on a bet? She is clearly the sort of single woman who's biological clock is going off like a level-5 contamination alert and you just KNOW she makes her nephew call her mom in public.
What kind of name is Brycer, anyhow?
ooooh. Brycer? That kid will get the crap beaten out of him for sure.
That's a pretty bad name.
What was the show that that chick Sara Moulton had on the Food Network?
My husband and I used to call her "The Food Slut" because whenever she had a male guest chef on she'd touch him and make eyes at him through the whole show. Didn't matter who it was, as long as it was a guy.
