First question I have for McCain: What the F**K does Normandy and Eisenhower have to do with the economic crisis?
It's like listening to my father who gives 13 stories about life before saying "Yes, I'll have a small coffee".

So far McCain has come off as old and tired.
Who told him to wear that tie? It does not work for TV....it's making my dizzy to look at it.....maybe his tie is a hypnotic tie telling me to vote McCain.....

Just to correct McCain, Ted Kennedy was released from the hospital after feeling ill due to a change in medication.
I think John McCain is more well spoken than I expected him to be.

McCain is an idiot but he's resonating with the idiots who vote Republican.
Obama is not good enough at this. He stammers and yammers on and undercuts himself. He needs to make a strong point and STOP so it can sink in.
#18re: The Debates Thread
Posted: 9/26/08 at 9:50pmThe Iraq war is the one big place where McCain seems to have better answers than Obama.
#19re: The Debates Thread
Posted: 9/26/08 at 9:50pmThose idiot Republicans were always going to vote for McCain. Idiot tends to play less well with Independents and undecideds, and that's what really at stake.

Trying to be as objective as possible, this is a dead heat so far.
Both seem "calmly defensive." Neither one is awful or brilliant.
I'm not overly impressed with either, truthfully.
Kind of a shame.

#22re: The Debates Thread
Posted: 9/26/08 at 9:52pmThat is very true Best12 - and it is pretty disappointing. I just hope most undecided voters think both are just ok...

Posted: 9/26/08 at 9:53pmWait until the VP debates....Biden should dominate.
#24re: The Debates Thread
Posted: 9/26/08 at 9:55pmGiven the polls and his erratic recent behavior, didn't McCain need a big win tonight?
