Am I the only one who thought that the entire opening fell flat? I didn't like it at all. It felt like an advertisement for Glee, not the opening of the Emmys.

I was hoping Jimmy was gonna pull Courtney Cox up on stage and dance! That would have been awesome!

Jimmy Fallon is no Boss. He was totally upstaged by Jon Hamm.

Fallon: "I love TV. The fact that I work in TV is beyond belief."

Truer words have seldom been spoken.

Eric Stonestreet! Sweet!! I was rooting for Ty Burrell, but Eric Stonestreet was the only other one that was truly deserving.

Best part of the opening was Tina Fey asking if there were pants to go with that green top. I LOL'd

So excited for Stonestreet! He totally deserves it.. but NPH 2011, come on!

I have to say I pretty much adore every one of those guys so it didn't matter to me who won. But congrats to Eric!

NPH won an emmy for guest star though so its not like he is going home empty handed. Lets hope Hugh Laurie finally gets his due!

Eric Stonestreet gave a fantastic acceptance speech, I'm really really happy for him. Ty gave him a standing ovation, you can tell he wasn't bitter at all about losing.

Awww yay Eric! The Emmys

I would have been pretty disappointed if it had been anyone else over Chris, but Eric is awesome, so I'm cool with it! ^_^ Still a teensy bit bummed, but Chris has got PLENTY of time to win Emmys and Eric really did deserve it as well

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

I like Jimmy Fallon. And I liked the opening. I think I loved that Tina Fey and Joel McHale was in it.

And yay for Eric Stonestreet!! Score 1 for Modern Family!!! His speech was great.

Aww good. I was torn on this category- as long as it wasn't Jon Cryer, I'd be happy.

Half the nominees for this category were openly gay. That's amazing.

I'm glad Hodgeman is back. I loved his commentary last year.

The OPENING NUMBER was such a delight!! Wish they would have gotten more surprise celebrities, especially more of the nominees to perhaps involve a larger selection of nominated shows. Ah well -- I quite enjoyed it!!!

Eric Stonestreet winning is a SHOCKER. I thought for sure it would go to either Neil Patrick Harris, Chris Colfer, or Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Each and every one of them deserves it, but Eric winning above names and favorites is a triumph. Congrats to him!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I laughed out loud when Jimmy knocked Tina's glasses off during the opening number. Nice nod to their SNL days.

Really pleased with the night so far. Congrats to Jane Lynch, the thread keeping Glee together (in my opinion The Emmys). Plus, Stephen Colbert was hilarious as always.

Yay, Jane! Has Jim Parsons always been that thin? He looked really thin tonight. Maybe he's usually wearing baggier clothes on BBT.

I have still yet to see Big Bang Theory. How is it? I've been told that I need to watch it but I keep putting it off. Is it the kind of show that you can just watch an episode without having to see every episode before it?
