a bit of the devotion from Queens of a Certain Age
Are you implying that I was stagedooring Our American Cousin the night Lincoln was shot?

I know you and I know you would NEVER stage door.
I mean, I saw the clip where she called that woman "lower than white trash" (I know, I know, she "played the game well") and that's kind of for me the exact opposite of "class."
THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!
I don't know about outside of New York, but here in New York, the biggest fans at her club dates are the 20- and 30-something boys who watch reality TV.
We Queens of a Certain Age stay at home and watch Maria Ouspenskaya marathons on TCM.
For those who are not Queens of a Certain Age, Ms. Ouspenskaya worked with Stanislavsky at the Moscow Art Theater, but when she came to the United States, Hollywood cast her as the old gypsy woman.

As we age, we find that guys like those in that photo look, to US, as if they are 20- and 30-something.
I know, I know, she "played the game well"
I didn't think she did. At all. But then, the Celebrity version of Apprentice is an even bigger farce than the original format.
Joan loves the homos and has done a lot for the homos and that is swell. It doesn't change my feelings about her more recent behavior. I just think it's a shame. But kudos to her for cultivating a fan base that will excuse, if not embrace, anything she says or does, regardless what she says or does. She and Madonna have that quality in common.
So, thank you Joan for your support of the homos. I hope you...get better.

I know, I know, but when devotion has an excuse for EVERYTHING, that's the line.
"Wow, that was a nasty thing to say!"
"She played the game well, that's why she won!!!"
ETA… I wrote this after only reading your first line.
PS I love a lot of performers, but not enough to give up viewing them with a critical eye. A forgiving eye, sure, but not for something awful.

As if saying she's willing to sell ANYTHING as a product pitch person is such a higher class endeavor.
As a feminist, I would have a hard time not criticizing the way she goes after other women. If I were a feminist.
BEYOND WHITE TRASH!
It just warms the heart, doesn't it? Nobility, class, integrity...these words just simply aren't enough.

You gotta know her, honey. You gotta know her.
Joan on Graham Norton, answering many of the questions you've been posing.
Joan on another Graham Norton, two years later, making a bearded and woofy Jake Gyllenhaal laugh.
Matt you are obviously obsessed with her. You just can't STFU. You keep coming back for more just to say the same thing over and over and over again.
" I know, she "played the game well"
I didn't think she did. At all. But then, the Celebrity version of Apprentice is an even bigger farce than the original format. " "
Your analyzing reality shows now? She won! No one gives a **** if you think she didn't play the game well. You obviously watched. Oh wait a minute. You are good at talking out of your ass. So maybe you didn't.

Again. Accent grave on the fourth syllable.
This is my thread. This is my domain. MisterMatt is my guest.
But this isn't your board. So you can kiss my ass.
Both clips, absolutely HILARIOUS!
They are. The clips are very funny. One of the true legends of comedy.

I didn't say it's my board. I said it's my thread, I'm hosting this discussion and therefore you have no power to tell anyone to stop contributing to it. I'll thank you to stop whatever it is you're trying to do and allow the civil conversation to continue.
Civil? It stopped being civil when - edited for lack of better judgement-. What your "hosting" is vile and distasteful and meant to illicit reaction. Well you are getting it.

You do realize that everyone here has it in her or his power to start their own threads, right? There's a reason that ardent, unapologetic supporters and those of us who are more critical and wary have stayed in this one. Because it was civil til you pulled your stunts, nut.
She is a comic. A legend.
