Audrey II strikes again
Audrey II strikes again and again
woo hoo, anyway, i have to say, brina, that the turtle comment was exactly what i thought.
and the zipper show, is that where he sang under pressure? i've seen that. and the comments that people have made. irks me when people can't spell lol
Yes that was his drunken escapade night, lol.
The video of Under Pressure is funny. Now whenever I listen to that song I can't help but think of Adam...drunk.
I swear I've heard Under Pressure on so many commericals nowadays; it makes me giggle everytime But I do love the version of that song with those two; they sounded wonderful together.
I've noticed that song on commercials too! It is really funny.
yeah ,that commercial with the weird monster looking thing???
OK, so I have been listening to the several versions of Chess, and besides just becoming more in love with the show overall, I have officially decided Adam is the only person allowed to play freddie.....ever.
yeah i have seen that commercial too. it was odd cause i was half asleep and that came on. i remember blinking and trying to figure out why i was hearing Adam and then realized i wasn't.
I would love to see Adam play Freddie if Chess came to Broadway. I wonder how he would pull that off now that he's in Los Angeles, if such a thing ever happened.
I totatally agree that Adam owns the role of Freddie. I've seen others play the part, and though they are marvelous singers; the high notes they hit grate on me to no end. The cool thing about Adam's voice is that his high falsetto notes soar so perfectly; its awesome to listen to.
I loved Adam's voice during the Chess Benefit. I thought he was amazing, so if Chess comes to Broadway he should be strongly considered.
I wish he would update his MySpace. I really want to know what he's up to these days before Rent.
There's a thread on the main board regarding a possible movie version of Aida. Apparently the source is a little suspect, but Disney may be trying to put together a live action version with Beyonce. It's a shame they're not considering Heather Headley, since she owns that role in my opinion, but I totally understand their thinking, if this is true. The only musicals that have done well lately have starred Hollywood actors and celebrities, not the Broadway cast. However, Adam or Sherie might have a chance at this, since having one big star allows for one or two of the other leads to be not as well known. Chances are they'll go for more Hollywood types though.
I seriously think they should consider Heather Headley, considering she won the Tony and she's an awesome singer. But I guess with the way the movie industry is these days it's too risky to not have a big star, such as Beyonce, in a lead role. I think that's a sad fact.
A movie version of Aida sounds interesting, and I hope they would at least consider Adam and Sherie. As far as I know, there aren't that many Hollywood type guys (or girls) who can really sing.
Beyonce = almost guaranteed blockbuster hit unfortunately
But hey, if it means the movie picks up steam and helps to bring the movie musical back somewhat mainstream I'm all for that.
I would definitely be all for Adam in this. It's not like RENT when they were supposed to be 21 y/o, Radames has no technical age.

Beyonce and Adam? tee hee
Well, maybe if he does a movie version, it will be racier, lol
racier hmm... racier could be good...racier could be very good
And if they don't use Adam, here's hoping they use Jon Bon Jovi. I always thought he would've made a good "stunt casting" Radames.
yummy.
I personally think he does have a chance at this one, perhaps not so much Sherie Rene Scott (though playing Ursula in The Little Mermaid could put her on Disney's good side). Since he has done a movie musical like RENT, he does have a much bigger following then he did a few years ago (or at least thats what I think.) I think it be interesting to see a younger Aida with a somewhat older Radames, it could add to the chemistry of the characters. Though I totally agree that Heather deserves it more than Beyonce does. I was also thinking that Tracie Thoms could make an interesting Aida, if not one of the other supporting characters (I forgot the name of the girl who dies in Aida's stead...drawing a blank lol.)
I would personally love to see an Aida movie. I really hope that it works out because that would make me one very happy chica!

Nehebka? That could work.
this talk of Adam being in an Aida movie is very exciting! I watched the "commercial" for the show yesterday, and it was so beautiful. I almost swooned when Adam and Heather sang to each other.
If this movie is going to happen and they want Beyonce, they're obviously looking to make it a GIANT blockbuster, which makes me think they'd go for major star-power wherever they could get it. They're so not casting Adam.
And anyway, I just hope the movie doesn't get made at all. (Sounds familiar, no?) Being that it takes place in such a fascinating time period, it could make a gorgeous movie in the right hands. With the proper edits in the libretto, the right historical background and visual aesthetics, I think it could be wonderful, but I have no faith that it would turn out up to its potential. I think they'd ruin it. I envision a sort of rich, sexy kind of thing, but the result would probably more likely be cheesy and gaudy.
