10 pages is pretty long for a high school paper. If it's mainly an opinion paper, maybe you can BS most of it. Good luck!

"Also, there's a video of Manley Pope on the same site singing the same song on Jenny Jones that is HYSTERICAL. Can someone PLEASE tell me who he blew to get the job as Roger?"
LOL!!!! he was the second Roger I saw on broadway. and you know I completely remember nothing of his performance. was he really bad?
I agree that brokeback was hyped up for the wrong reasons.
great rosie pics. one of my good friends still wears overalls periodically, but she's one of those people who can pull them off. she and adam might be the only two I know!
I'm also working on a take home exam..blah
Between the two of them, he was definitely Jack. I dunno, just seemed right.
Heeeee. Something about his choice of earrings...
I'll always have bittersweet memories about Brokeback Mountain. The movie had such an unexpected impact on me- I went to the bathroom after the movie and cried for 15 minutes, then went home and cried for another few hours. But at the same time, I was home for break with my ultra-conservative parents, so I told them I went to see The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe instead, and had to hide crying so they wouldn't think something was wrong. I had my computer's wallpaper that picture with them cuddling when Jack is asleep (like a horse ) and I had to change it for fear of my parents seeing. It was even more upsetting to realize that things hadn't changed all that much since the movie was set.
Fortunately, I *do* have a happy Brokeback Mountain memory.

I have reactions to films like that once in awhile. Just not this one. But I know what you mean :)
That had something to do with it.
Oh, Raúl.
I'm finishing a silly project.
Everyone seems to be working away tonight. Good luck with all your papers.
What a shame you had to hide from your parents like that, skittles. That must have made the experience all the more painful. Movies don't seem to affect me so strongly anymore, but I have some really vivid memories of films I saw while I was in college. They're imprinted on my brain, as I imagine Brokeback will be for some of you.
Yeah, Raul is definitely a Jack.
I love that picture, skittles. Take that!
I just remember having to wait at least a month later than everyone else to see Brokeback Mountain. I thought that it was a lovely story and definitely teared up with the shirts, but it wasn't at all what I was expecting. Very good, though, and certainly better than Crash, which won Best Picture.
I do have a random funny Brokeback story, though. My aunt and I were in NYC for spring break during the Oscars last year, and we went to an Oscar party at the Cutting Room hosted by drag queens. There was trivia and stuff, and these two guys showed up dressed as cowboys. They naturally got the trivia question asking what the names of the characters in Brokeback Mountain were, and they didn't know. We waved the hostess over and answered the question, although we weren't going to be in town to claim the prize (tickets to see Joan Rivers).
I saw it way after everyone else, so I had heard so much about it beforehand. I thought it was a good movie, just not worth the buzz it got. When I saw it, I was the only person in the theater, lol!
Ashley, your aunt sounds pretty cool to want to go to a drag queen Oscar party.
She is. We didn't really know what kind of thing it was going to be, but we were bored that night and didn't want to just stay in our hotel room and watch the Oscars, so we looked online to see if there were any Oscar events and ended up there. We both had a ton of fun.

I think any aunt with whom you can get drunk is pretty awesome.
I won this on ebay:
And this. Not as exciting, I know:
I think any aunt with whom you can get drunk is pretty awesome.
Yeah, pretty much.
Cool wins.
I don't think I've ever seen that poster before. I know Daphne was in the show out west for a while, so I'm assuming it was on this tour. The skirt is actually gorgeous - is it just a skirt or does it have some association I'm not familiar with?
RE: the overalls pics...THAT is perfect Adam-hair.
I just watched the Rosie segment. What an odd arrangement for Glory. Did they do it a lot like that in promos? Still adorable as usual.
A Judas Priest mention? Queensryche mention at the Forum show?
This man becomes more perfect each day, lol! Should I start keeping an eye out at their concerts? :)

Daphne was part of the LA company for a while, I believe, but that poster is just a promo poster used for one of the many Rent tours over the years. There's a relatively common one with an image of Adam on it as well. I was thinking of buying that one as well to match the Daphne poster, but I thought that might be a bit much. And I just thought the skirt was pretty.
I was totally watching that poster on eBay. I seem to have an addiction to it lately.
I liked that arrangement of Glory better than the one he's doing now. It's shaky in some parts, but it suits his voice.

Aw, I'm sorry for grabbing it, Jenna!
I wasn't going to buy it anyway. Me and my credit card need a vacation from that site.

Also? I'm sorry for spraying you with spit several times while drunk.

cool wins - I was looking at that poster on ebay too. I wanted one of her without the tour info on the bottom tho.
it was funny when she described herself as "down in the dumps" on the rent documentary

I don't think you're going to find that poster (or the similar one of Adam) without the tour information at the bottom. I don't believe they were ever sold commerically, but rather used as publicity posters for the Rent tours.
I'm also looking for the giant OBC poster, as I think the movie poster is tacky, but I've pretty much given up hope on that (or at least paying a reasonable amount for it).
I had an EBAY obsession for awhile, but I grew out of it. Got some cool stuff though.

I dont think I am either, but I was giving myself exuses not to spend more money online.
I have the OBC one with the cardboard on the back, not the huge one. The big one is really expensive! sometimes they trick you and it turns out to be the movie one
What's the Adam poster like? A new picture or one of the familiar ones? I think it's a little funny that you've got a Daphne poster, considering you don't care for her voice very much. It's a great picture of her.
I don't remember the "down in the dumps" comment, misschung. What was the context?
I really like Adam's hair on the Rosie show too, MYB.
