I don't remember how much it was going for - not too much tho. They are usually pretty reasonable.
For some reason I feel like he looks different in that picture than he does in the other show ones.
I wish they had a huge poster of the pics that are outside the Nederlander - that long shot during SOL.

In all honesty, I don't think that photo is flattering at ALL. I'm not even a huge fan of the one on the OBCR cover, but the other poster image looks nothing like him, then or now.
Which, mine or the other one? I think mine's pretty. =P

The other one (sorry, misschung - if you like it, go for it). Updated On: 4/3/07 at 12:24 AM
Hee, I was about to say. It's a matched set with your Daphne one. :-P
I've never seen the other one before. I think it was made by someone trying to copy the Rent poster style.

No, I don't mind the greenish one, although I think his pose is a bit awkward. I thought actually buying both the Adam and Daphne set might be overkill for my room!

I'm admittedly jealous of the Daphne poster, I've almost bid on that a few times. I was scared I'd end going "oooh, matching set!" and getting the joyful dog baring its teeth Adam one too. Then I'd just get depressed over the "no media posters" moratorium I gave myself when I lost 80% of my wallspace, and wish I'd brought my Hedwig poster to the new home instead of letting it and every other poster I had become tattered and destroyed.
I digress. Anyway. I haven't seen the other picture as a poster there. Odd. The only place I've seen it is in the Rent souvenir program. I agree that it's not the best picture for a poster.
I saw people selling print outs of scans I made from the Rent bible. It was pretty shameless.
Why? Because you didn't think of it first?
I keep buying windowcards, even though I don't have the money or wallspace to justify it these days.

Hah, no. It's not lucrative, and it's a messy copyright issue.
I'd probably have more posters (or even windowcards) if I didn't keep spending my money on ill advised trips to New York.

wait, do you mean the one outside the Nederlander or the one from ebay? I wasn't crazy about the one from ebay either, which is why I didnt buy it.

This is one of the few long haired Adam pictures that I really enjoy
I have the hardest time taking the curly long hair seriously! It's just not Adam to me!
For the topic at hand, I never got the point of the long hair.
Aaaand, I got a ticket to see Adam at PSU!! Unless something comes up, I'll finally be seeing him live. Yayyy!!

Yay for the ticket!
tink - I know exactly what you mean. But I really like this picture anyway. He seems like a completely different person with long hair, its so strange
I agree that he looks almost like a different person with the longer hair, but I kind of like that. If you're going to be obsessed with someone, it's a bonus for him to be able to provide that kind of variety.
Congratulations on getting a ticket to the Penn show, gj. That's getting pretty close now. I hope it works out for you.

you're so right!
I've always liked it when his hair was a little bit longer. My fav might be the way he's wearing it in my current av. The only time I really haven't cared for his hair was when he did Cabaret and in the beginning of School Of Rock.

I don't mind the long hair look like in your avatar, it's just the curly RENT movie hair look I'm not digging. I dunno.
I fell in love with Adam's long hair first, because I didn't know about him until I saw the Rent movie, and I thought it was strange at first seeing him with short hair, but I've grown to like his short hair and I think I actually like it better than the long hair.

he has good hair :)
I loved the long hair because like Dancin, I only knew that hairstyle because I got into Rent because of the movie. When I saw him on the Today Show, I immediately fell in love w/ his short hair. I like his short hair more.
gertrude- Concerning the long hair...(from the Rent movie blog)
Jose: From the standpoint of someone who has lived the "Rent" experience, what are your thoughts on some of the nuances and changes that have been made, both artistically and visually (i.e. the new "long haired" look for Roger, showing instead of implying the riot, etc.)? Do you feel as if this is something that, if he were here to helm the project, Jonathan would have chosen to update and incorporate?
Adam: I don't think anyone knows what Jonathan would or would not have done. We can only proceed with the purest intentions, and stay as true to what the essence of Rent is. What the essence of Rent is not though, is the length of Roger's hair, or changing one location to another. Those are incidentals that get adjusted to fit the medium in which the story of Rent is being told. Just to put it in perspective, Roger's blond hair in the show was only that way because that was my hair when I got the job. I would say that is true for most of the original cast.
Jonathan never had a physical image of these characters that we were trying to match... we became the physical image. For the film, Chris Columbus and I felt that Roger should look a bit more "earthy"... less "cartoony." More Bruce Springsteen, less Johnny Rotten.

Nice excerpt
Whenever I see him in the movie with the long hair, all I can think of is Bon Jovi for some reason. Although that might have had a lot to do with the Santa Fe scenes. I think it worked for the characterization in the film though.
That's one thing about Rent casts since the OBC - I wouldn't mind if they stopped having the current Roger's hair not be bleached blond. Sometimes it looks like a little too much. But that's just me - and I'm going off topic for this thread, so...
:o)
