re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Ooh, lucky, Jenna! It's funny, every time I've won lotto, I've always ended up right smack in front of Roger for SoL. I hope that continues to be the trend. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

I love just sitting there before the show listening to people. At intermission the middle aged woman behind me kept saying that the Playbill was wrong and it couldn't be the same Roger from the movie. Her husband was like "honey, it's the high def. And now he has stage make up to hide his wrinkles."

Haha. That's a good one. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13! Maybe it was the hair. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13! But that's kind of the same reason I hang around after the show -- I like to watch the stage door frenzy and listen to what people are saying. This girl started talking to skittles and I one night about how she saw Anthony walking down the street in the city once, but she didn't want to approach him because she couldn't remember his real name... and she wasn't (thankfully) about to call him Mark. We tried to tell her what a nice guy he is, etc., and her response was like "oh, I know, but I was pretty much hyperventilating." When stuff like that happens, in my head, I'm just kind of like, ".... I don't know how to talk to you."

Wow, you're so lucky that you got such great seats! Did you order far in advance? I noticed on Thursday that there was a block of empty seats in the 4th row center, and I almost moved - but the people came in late during the show.

I understand why she'd be nervous though - I mean, besides not knowing his name, hehe. In my mind, it doesn't matter if people tell me that x, y, or z is really nice in person, I still can't shake my nerves!

Not knowing someone's name could put a damper on things. :P

I'm really excited now, with nothing to do. It's going to be a long day...

Actually, I went to the box office around 2 yesterday. I had a choice of second to last row rear mezz or C ORCH. There goes money I don't have down the drain. I argued with the guy because he wanted me to pay $95. My theory is that they were press seats that went unused because the group of 3 siting next to me had only bought their tickets yesterday as well.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Emcee, I hyperventilate on the inside. That way, I only embarrass myself re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Interesting - it seems, like Chloe has been saying, that a slough of house or press seats opens up in the afternoon. Either way, it was good for you! I got 4th row orchestra left for Thursday though, and I think I only ordered them with a discount on Tuesday. I don't know why they weren't taken, they were great seats!

I want to try the lotto but I don't want to go by myself, lol.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

The hyperventilating part should not happen when you meet someone. Unless you're seeing George Clooney naked that's the only time I will consider that exceptable re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13! But being nervous to meet a celeb I can completely understand.

I would love to do lotto at one point as well, but I probably won't.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Me too! I hate going all the way there not knowing if I'm seeing the show or not. I get out of work just late enough that I wouldn't make it to do the lotto, which sucks because I'm right there. I think going alone last night was part of the reason I didn't enjoy it was much. I left feeling oddly lonely.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

aw, I'm sorry. Usually I don't mind going to shows alone, but I don't want to do lotto by myself, because then I'd have time to kill before the show. I'm not crazy about wandering around alone re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

**enters convo late**
I knew Adam would come to his senses and become available for me! I knew sending him 4 myspace messages a day would finally win him over!

OY!

Anywho, those sounded like great seats Jenna. I kinda was blah about going again tomorrow, but I woke up this morning really excited.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

I've come to the point where I'm pretty much completely composed on the outside. I was never like, anywhere near hyperventilating, but I'd just be really quiet and visibly nervous. But inside, my head is just a mess. Clear-eyed thought basically goes on vacation, and my mind is just flooded with all of these completely conflicting thoughts -- what to do and say... what NOT to do and say, things to remember, "omg this is so cool!" etc. -- to the point that I can, to be cliche, barely hear myself think.

Jenna, did you end up winning said argument? re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

I'm always amazed by some of the things you can overhear during intermission. Last year I sat next to two younger girls who tried to convince me that Tim Howar played Roger in the movie. They basically picked him apart feature by feature, to the point where they said something about a nose job, but it had to be him because he had the same hair. It was so funny I didn't even bother to correct them.

I'm definitely itching to go again, but I'm determined to stay away until September. I bought a 10-ride ticket for the train last night, so at least I won't have to worry about paying for transportation anymore. The only sad thing is that once I did the math, I realized I'm only saving myself about 20 bucks.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

I know Anthony is taking part in the flea market (and hopefully Adam will too eventually), do you think they will be doing the Broadway on Broadway performance?

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Oh, I didn't even think of Broadway on Broadway. That's how NOT real this all still is to me. RENT always performs, but I wonder if Adam and Anthony will do it. I don't know if even that can get me to go. I used to go every year, but then it started to get kind of lame, so I decided it just wasn't worth dragging myself out of bed at 5 a.m for... and if you don't go at the crack of dawn, you might as well not go at all because you won't be able to see.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Haha, I was like "Um, in two hours this ticket will be $55." He ended up letting me use the discount code. Still more money than I wanted to spend.
#946

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

That would be nice, if they did do it.

Intermission can be an interesting time, certainly. And so can the time before the actor playing Roger comes on stage to begin the show.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

I don't think I'm going to go, for exactly that reason. Standing around all day and needing binoculars to see, not my idea of a good time. But I was just wondering if the rent marketing people are going to try and generate publicity for all of this return besides the boys just showing up on stage each night. Get the boys on a talk show already! Have them sing, show the world that yes they can still do it and no they are not too old. But whatever. I am just a lowly peon.

Wait, why? I'm slow, lol. And yeah, 4 hours to kill by yourself isn't always fun.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

They really could've marketed this a lot better, but to be honest with you, I don't know how many people watching the Today Show care that these two guys are coming back to Broadway. I wonder if this is as big of a deal to people outside of the Broadway community. I wonder how back to school will effect the sales.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Well, there were those commercials on Z100....

Other than that, I don't think it would've really reached people outside of the theater/Rent community, and it most likely wouldn't have mattered to them, either.
