See, but why does it have to be Adam Pascal
Music? Why are we pretending his career only has this one component to it? I've been saying for years that what he needs is ONE
official website that deals with all of his work, and lays everything out in one place. Because for the longest time, all he had was the Sh-k-Boom page, and that didn't carry much information, even though it was his official site. When I talked about an all-Adam official website, this was absolutely not at all remotely like what I envisioned. Whether the powers that be like it or not, this is where he's gained his fans. Because of Rent, this is probably where he will continue to gain them. And if someone who claims she knows what's best for him thinks that means pretending it doesn't exist, then I even further question her capabilities.
Glad she could get the biographical information straight. Nice job, Ilana. Nice. It's not like she's telling his E! True Hollywood story, for God's sake. She's messing up basic, publicly availably information. Not to mention that it looks like a web version of a picture book.
He listened and had someone crank a quick site out? After how many years? He's been needing an official website for way more than the three months that he was back in Rent. Cranking a quick site out at this point is not something to be proud of -- this is something he's needed for a long, long time; it's not as though the need just randomly popped up this summer and someone got right on the job. And no, it should never have been set live looking like that, I'm sorry. I can excuse a simplistic aesthetic while things are still getting up and running, I really can. But blatant mistakes? No. I'm sorry.
The whole thing is sad and disheartening and frankly, just f*cking pisses me off. He deserves better, and not something that looks like the web design of 1998.
I do think the video is one of the funniest things I've ever seen, though.
A work of art is an invitation to love.
