HA! I agree,I know there is alot of drama that I cant really follow about all of this, but it is cool that there is finally a site, although it is in need of better pictures as well

Wow, word2. Word to that.

Oh God, ew. Both of you. Never have I thought I'd miss Larry's ponytail, but he needs to contain those drippy waves before they slither down onto the camera lens.

I think my favorite, however, is the picture on the roof. That body language combined with the head-on smoldering stare...YIKES!
I recognize the addiction to being alive.

I like the one on the roof, but I hate the angle that they are all taken at, and why is Larry always behind Adam in some spooky way like they are advertisisng a gay stalker movie?

I think it does rule. From a design perspective, it's not glam, but the content is good. At least he listened and had someone crank a quick site out. And who knows, maybe Adam even helped skin it since he sweats Photoshop so much.

Hi Cat! Don't be intimidated. I was on the phone with Craww when I saw your image, and I literally LOLed.

I feel like anything I say is automatically discredited because of my little rift with the webmaster, but honestly, I think it looks completely unprofessional, down to the compressed jpg images, photos with red eye, and the layout that is not aesthetically pleasing in the slightest (why all the tiny text on large graphics?). Sorry, gogannon.

Also, why is the biography broken up into photos with captions? And I sincerely hope that Miss Webmaster has acquired permission from all of the copyright holders of images she uses on this official site. I know the Goyband producers haven't heard from her, for one.

Again, I almost feel like I have to censor myself because it's expected from me, but it's worse than I thought it was going to be. Unprofessional.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

It's like the designer hasn't visited a single website since 1998. The scrolling text bar? The guestbook (on the main page- seriously tacky)? Not to mention the general amateur, disorganized fashion that reminds me of the days when I used to read Hanson fanfiction on Angelfire and Geocities. (Shut up, I was 12!)

I understand that he's not raking in the money these days, but for god's sake, he should find someone to do probono work that is remotely more capable of designing a webpage. I joked the other day that it would be done in the Dreamweaver default format, but I don't think they've even evolved to that level yet.

And a personal pet peeve- I LOATHE embedded music players. If I wanted to listen to Adam's music at this exact moment, I could find it on iTunes myself. I do not need Adam's music shanghaiing my speakers when I've currently listening to other music.

Nope. Web-based template, even!

I LOATHE embedded music players.

Agreed. I mean, they're slightly more appropriate on an official site than anywhere else, but they're irritating and usually cause me to end up disliking the first few chords of whatever song is the default after a few months.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I did notice that in the biography it said this: "Adam’s latest project, a yet-to-be-titled CD to be released in early 2008 is collaboration with writing partner Larry Edoff." So it's not Me and Larry...but their "band" apparently is.

The candid pictures are cute, but the "official" one's look awful. What in the hey is up with all the bad lighting/shadow techniques? It makes them look like Nickelback posers.

Also I googled his name again and Connie's a-p.com is still numero uno on the listings. So I'm kind of wondering how well this new site will lure potential PR guys.

Bleh, I'm in a b!tchy mood right now. Sorry if this sounded all grrrrroaning and moaning.

OMG!!! Those photo shoot shots were just too much for a person at 7:30AM! The shirt and jeans, not that big of a deal, but sandal things?????? I hope I can give the site a better look later on.

The poses in that photoshoot aren't particularly flattering for Adam at all. And the one with Lawrence's Beethoven-esque hair skeeves me out more than a normal picture of Lawrence would. However, to be fair, I won't blame the bad photoshoot on the website. What I will blame on the website are the numerous unflattering pictures and live performance pictures from all of two of his shows. I can appreciate a behind-the-scenes vibe, but when red eye makes its way onto an official site, along with something like this inserted into an image header:

... it's disheartening. Aesthetically.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

What a thing to wake up to! I don't think it's horrible, but it's not great either. I guess I'm gonna stop complaining and take what I can get. I'm not feeling those new pictures at all. Who let him wear those sandals?

I especially love the blurry picture that was posted in the photo gallery. (And that tambourine one, too, in the bio.)

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

My favorite part so far is his blog and the video from a Syosset HS battle of the bands -

Hello everyone! Welcome to AdamPascalMusic.com. I know that many of you have been requesting a better ME website. We'll here it is!!!ME, ME,FREAKING ALL ME!!!
I hope you enjoy it. I wanted to make sure the site is full with interesting stuff. Most of you know everything I do/have done, so i had to go back into the "Vault" to get some gems and alot of mortifying other things i've done over the years (no porn).
Let me say that this is ME writing this even though there is an attempt at punctuation and capitalization. I hope you have fun...leave messages, fight with each other, make fun of me and most of all BUY STUFF!!
ME AND LARRY is on the way. I promise you'll all Love it!
Much Love

Adam...

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Also, I'd like to suggest that everyone post your criticisms of the site either there or on Adam's myspace. He should know that the design and pictures need to be better. It's a shame, given how great he was looking at the Nederlander this summer, that so many are unflattering.

ETA: Just looked at the bio, and a couple of corrections need to be made. The picture for "in movies" is from Broadway, and he tried out for Rent in 1995, not 1996. Cold Case needs a better picture too.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Battle of the Bands circa 1985 is HIGHLARIOUS.

does that mean you have to be high in order to find it funny?

Oh, where to begin. I'm glad he finally has a website - he needed one. However, I too was reminded of the olden days of yore - using the old fashioned scroll bar to scroll over a single, unending page of bmp images of Hanson and Leonardo Dicaprio. It's weird that it's not yet linked to a google search - they need to do that ASAP. Also, did anyone else notice that he used a comma instead of a period in his myspace blog? adampascalmusic, com

Also, who took those pictures at the BB Kings show? I'm not saying I'm a great photographer, but I have a whole set that came out considerably less grainy than those. I'm sure other people do too. And to echo what Chloe said - he tried out for Rent before 1996..

But, good for you Adam, it's a step in the right direction.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

See, but why does it have to be Adam Pascal Music? Why are we pretending his career only has this one component to it? I've been saying for years that what he needs is ONE official website that deals with all of his work, and lays everything out in one place. Because for the longest time, all he had was the Sh-k-Boom page, and that didn't carry much information, even though it was his official site. When I talked about an all-Adam official website, this was absolutely not at all remotely like what I envisioned. Whether the powers that be like it or not, this is where he's gained his fans. Because of Rent, this is probably where he will continue to gain them. And if someone who claims she knows what's best for him thinks that means pretending it doesn't exist, then I even further question her capabilities.

Glad she could get the biographical information straight. Nice job, Ilana. Nice. It's not like she's telling his E! True Hollywood story, for God's sake. She's messing up basic, publicly availably information. Not to mention that it looks like a web version of a picture book.

He listened and had someone crank a quick site out? After how many years? He's been needing an official website for way more than the three months that he was back in Rent. Cranking a quick site out at this point is not something to be proud of -- this is something he's needed for a long, long time; it's not as though the need just randomly popped up this summer and someone got right on the job. And no, it should never have been set live looking like that, I'm sorry. I can excuse a simplistic aesthetic while things are still getting up and running, I really can. But blatant mistakes? No. I'm sorry.

The whole thing is sad and disheartening and frankly, just f*cking pisses me off. He deserves better, and not something that looks like the web design of 1998.

I do think the video is one of the funniest things I've ever seen, though.
