I didn't see people fighting over who was blogging, either. But we did express skepticism, I think. I'm pretty sure he's addressing two separate things there -- wanting to clear up the confusion and telling people to stop fighting. Like on the discussion board.

i didn't mean that the stir would be a positive or negative thing. I think debate and discussion is a good thing to have in any public venue. Everything being peaches and cream is positively boring. While I do agree that some people seed boards with things just to "cause a rise", but others do it, like you said, as honest disagreement and not willing to just go blindly to appease the crowd.

This whole drama has created some really special spelling errors for me to witness, too. That's one positive. My favorites are Inapropreat and Expcid.

...I'm sorry you guys, but Adam Pascal is almost irredeemably stupid.

Maybe if he spent more time at dictionary.com than at websites devoted to him he might be able to learn how to spell retarded correctly. Or, just generally learn better insults than that.

As for Adam's most recent blog:

Before anyone asks, I think it's pretty obvious that a few of us from this thread were behind some of the comments asking who exactly was behind the site's updates. I don't think any of us are truly convinced that Adam is making every last one of the changes himself for various reasons, but mainly because it's very hard for us to believe that Adam is combing this thread for suggestions. I also don't know if he understands exactly what a "webmaster" is, as he says he doesn't have one and then contradicts that in the next breath. However, I don't think pressing the point any further is going to resolve any of our confusion, and there's probably no use in continuing to ask questions that will never be directly and maturely answered.

This is all a bit beside the point. It's disheartening that when we tried to raise the topic in a mature and calm manner, we were met with "retarted" and "nut balls." I'm not exactly sure why this issue couldn't have been addressed with a little less defensiveness. I'm sure Adam didn't have any malicious intent with his words, and I'm not genuinely offended, but the attitude perplexes me.
