I'm feeling a very visceral sense of "ew."

I have until around 7 PM to finish this final exam which I received at 1. It's a paper assignment. I'm like, 30% done or so.

That was my first thought. It'd be like one of us going up there. Just weird. I can't see it being believable but we'll see.

Good luck on your work! It feels so good to be done for a month. I still haven't been able to get myself out of pajamas.

I'm not familiar enough with her to have an opinion about her and Adam together, but in the real world and in general, couples with that kind of age difference are not all that uncommon. Also you may be influenced by her playing a teenager in SA. She can probably skew older if need be.

ETA: or to get a little more specific, when I was her age I was involved for a while with a man about ten years older. It didn't seem particularly weird at the time.

Nah. She doesn't look young enough to be a believable fourteen/fifteen, either. I'd say she looks like, 23 at best. But, age thing aside, because it does happen, she's just so... unnatural on stage. And you can say a lot of things about Adam's acting, but I don't think "unnatural" is one of them. She's just not enjoyable to watch.

Visceral "ew" indeed.

At least some of them are endearing. She's totally off-putting. She's a child actress who made it because she was cute, and has managed to make it way too far.

She has yet to impress me, but I'll give her a shot. I find that many times the things I think will work the least actually manage to be pretty good. With a good wig and make up, it can make her appear older if done right. Look what the bleached hair does for Adam's youthful appearance!

Buzz is six years older than me, my brother and his now ex wife were 14 years apart.....it happens. May not be successfully, but it happens.

Too bad. Who would you have preferred to see in this part then? Not that we have much to go on, but I gather Kelli O'Hara played her previously, so it seems to call for a young ingenue.

I don't know enough about the role to make an accurate assessment of who I would have preferred. I just know that my immediate reaction to seeing Michele's name wasn't one of joy. Her voice and persona just generally bore me, and she doesn't seem to have an edge to her (or anything really remarkable about her, for that matter) at all. I'm not so put off by her that I'm not excited to see the concert, but it's just kind of a general "ugh" feeling about her. Since it's a concert, I think someone with an intriguing and interesting voice would have been more exciting than bland Lea Michele.

That site is like the News 12 for Adam news. When we had that hurricane in Westchester earlier this year, News 12 didn't mention it once, even though it was probably happening right over their studios. Meanwhile, the people on CNN were like "take cover!"
So much for "as local as local news gets"

That's okay, better seats for us! Though I'm not sure how that works at the Zipper. There's no seating chart or seat selection, just a mention of "sections." Is it first come, first served within your section?
