Right, Tink, the higher ticket prices get you into the post-show reception. I'll be doing that tonight, though I bought the ticket more in order to be front and center. I guess I'll be going to the reception, but don't expect to do more than look around and have a drink. Hope you make it in okay, Lucky. After all those predictions of six inches or snow, there's not a flake to be seen where I am on LI.

There's a very brief synopsis on this site for the NYMF production, which I gather had dialog.

Since seeing/hearing Adam last night, I have been in the mood to listen to Bush. Not that I mind, but just odd.

Hi, all!

GuitarGirl did a nice job recapping the Mamaroneck show, so I'll just add a few tidbits ...

It was nice to see him in a small place. I tried to approximate the seating...I know I've had classes with more people than that! :) Less than 500, I'd say based on my basic multiplication skills. We stayed after with a lot of people, but an usher came out to say he wasn't coming out to mingle that night. I think he oversang a bit and perhaps wanted to rest before the big day on Sunday. For the last 1/3 or so of the show, lots of the high notes were out of tune and his voice sounded tired.

I was a little bummed that the whole show was just over an hour, including banter, but he crammed a lot into the hour! I appreciated the open picture/video policy...it was hilarious to see all the blue glowing screens of cameras and cell phones from our seats 3/4 of the way back!

2 "mom aged" ladies in the front row had a poster that was a knock off "priceless" ad. The funniest part to me was that they were "mom age." My 2 friends and I were expecting to feel really old at the show but it was a huge variety of people. Larry's wife was the one selling the CD's and from our seats in the lobby pre-show we could hear her having lots of conversations; tons of the kids in the audience were Larry's piano students and their families. Adam did say something about Larry knowing a lot of people and asking Adam not to swear during the show. :) (He, of course, was only mildly successful at that!!)

Jokes were the same, pretty much. Made some great funny faces that I wish I had on closeup so that Mandi could make some LJ icons. :) Oh, and he wore the leather jacket of course. Not for very long, but he did start with it on.

Adam was fun and all, but the BEST part was waking up in the morning at a nearby hotel and being able to drive down the street for some quality NY bagels. They just don't make bagels the right way in Baltimore. :)

OMG, his narrator voice is hilarious yet adorable at the same time. i still can't believe i am watching this, lol.

No he hasn't sung yet. Justa few snippets of him narrating in a deep husky voice. I swear, Em, it's like he knows how much you like it!
