re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I love snow. Snow showers suck. That's not snow; it's slightly colder rain. Unfortunately, it rarely snows here until January. I miss New York weather. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I just spent half an hour waiting in line at Walmart. Ugh. If it's this bad on an arbitrary weekday in early November, I'm going into hiding come December.

Where are you now skittles? I know that you already graduated, so are you home?

I miss Olympia weather. The Pacific Northwest sure is rainy, but I'd rather that than the crazy snowstorms we've gotten recently in Ohio. I'm not asking for a winter with no snow, I just don't take kindly to the idea of genuinely being snowed in.

It snowed today in MN re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2 It was so nice to see such pretty snowflakes, but unfortunately it didn't snow enough for it to stay on the ground.

Yup, I'm in Maryland. Where there are 2 seasons a year- hot and not-so-hot.

Most of all, I miss snow being a normal occurrence. It snowed. People still went about their business, it was just a bit prettier. In comparison, the "most powerful city in the world" shuts down when there's an inch of snow. The news warns people to stock up on bread and toilet paper, they cancel school, close a government buildings and everyone holes up inside their houses like they actually are snowed in...while I walk outside in a hoodie and sneakers. After experiencing 180 inches of snow my freshmen year of college, the behavior with regards to winter weather here is laughable.

Haven't seen that. We did the normal touristy things, but I spent a little while just wondering around on my own as well. It felt so serene for a big city. I could definitely see myself living there in the future.

Jamaica is my favorite place. The only snow you see there is on TV, where the idiots in various parts of the US are stocking up on canned goods at the first sign of snow flurries.

I've actually only been to Seattle once, I think. We went shopping there for Christmas one year, did some touristy stuff. I enjoyed it.

Colorado is still the most beautiful state I've been in. I might put Washington as the second most, though, so it's fortunate I grew up there.

I don't travel much, so I can't say that I've been to any of those places.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I'm watching Barefoot Contessa and she's having Susan Strouman over for dinner. Robin Hood Men in Tights was on the other night.

Am I overly cynical or is Mel Brooks actually capable of this multi-network tangential cross-promotion of Young Frankenstein's opening?

ETA: Susan's guest was Mel Brooks. Ugh. It's not me. He is that bad.

Going back through the days topics. I've always been told to double space after a period. I used to love cats, I had one for three days and found out I have asthma and allergies, now I hate cats. And I hate snow. It started snowing yesterday, so now we're bundling all the tods up to go outside and they are not happy about it.

Well, he's definitely smart.

I love the Barefoot Contessa. I live vicariously through her liberal use of butter.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I'm also a Barefoot Contessa fan, but I'd really like to know what she does all week in that huge house while her dear Jeffrey is away in CT working. I'm sometimes confused by her references to "good" ingredients- I feel like she thinks expensive things dictate good quality.

I saw some flurries earlier and I got really angry. I kind of hate winter with a passion.
