i think it's too bad that to an outsider that is the impression of this thread. that is not directed at anyone, it's just my feelings on the subject.
If anyone were legitimately lurking, they would have seen all the posts where we gush over how good Adam looks in a wifebeater, or discussing all the concerts we've seen or our favorite hairstyles, pictures, songs and roles. Or, you know, the fact that there were 13 previous parts to the Adam Pascal Love Thread.
It was already highly suspicious that a "lurker" joined the Adam thread just to post and make the exact same argument you had tried to make the day before. I got 2 IMs immediately after "adamrentluv" posted from people who could already tell you were behind it. When you actually posted and (without ANYONE publically attaching your name to the "new poster") instantly got defensive about the non-existent accusations, I honestly laughed. You practically begged for the association.
Considering the identity of some of the anonymous posters I responded to on rentsecrets, this is kind of an ironic discussion for me...
In the essence of full disclosure, I fought with you and puppetoflove once (well, one specific instance that I remember). Someone had made a secret so it looked like you were logged in and had screencapped your own page. I didn't understand why anyone would make the effort to do that, so I accused you of making it. I was wrong. It was an insult to your photoshop skills to attribute that secret to you.
I'm sure there were probably more instances, but I remember that one because I saved the lovely graphic puppetoflove made in my honor.
I'm sure I'll get a PM full of links to other posts I've long since forgotten I made against you, but in all honesty, I kind of gave up after awhile because it was obvious you weren't going away.

I didn't understand why anyone would make the effort to do that, so I accused you of making it.
Wasn't that absolutely diabolical of them? I can totally understand thinking we made that, because the thought behind it was created with an evil that even I couldn't comprehend.

I have a question, did anyone here claim to be Adams biggest, or most loyal fans? If they did I missed it, I think that there has always been and always will be bitterness between different groups of fans. It happens in every fandom. I guess I never understood the point of picking apart what other groups do, sure sometimes I do it to, I think it is partially just human nature, but REALLY what is the point of joining a group that you don't like? Like Adam said change the station!

yeah i heard that recently too. yet when i write something for work i get told to go back and put them in. they seriously need to make up their minds.

I changed my avatar because it's Tiger Week on Animal Planet and I had just watched a bunch of specials on raising baby tigers in captivity. This is the closest I could get to having one of my own.
Craww, I've had issues with certain fans in the past, but I honestly don't ever remember hating you to the extent I have others. You don't claim to be BFF with the current cast of Rent. You don't cyberstalk Wilson's girlfriend. And while some secrets were less than flattering, they aren't Adam/Anthony porn. I know puppetoflove will probably be heartbroken to learn it, but even at your worst, you weren't really that bad.

I think the two-spaces-after-periods petered out as computers took over word processing. It used to be done with typewriters because the formatting was on the very rigid grid and there needed to be more visual distinction at the end of a sentence, but I when I took a typing class in high school, no one made mention it. I had one teacher that required us to have two spaces at the end of a sentence in our essays- and he was anal enough to check and circle every time we didn't. :-P (He was actually one my favorite teachers, heh.) But that was the first time I'd ever heard about that rule.

I followed the 2 space rule through college and was never reprimanded for it - not even by thesis adviser who followed all those rules to a T. I guess times are a changin'

I was taught that you definitely put two spaces after a period as recently as four years ago... so, for whatever that's worth. What about you guys who are still in high school? Are they still teaching it that way? I mean, I've had professors recently who comment begrudgingly if they can tell you've only used one.
Oh, and I'm Adam's biggest fan. Obviously. But we all knew that, so I really never felt the need to say so. That is what this has all been about.

Yeah, in HS my teacher used to take off points if we didn't do the two spaces. In college and grad school I just automatically did it and never had anyone correct me. I dunno.

I've never heard of the two spaces after a period rule. I'm in a keyboarding class and it wasn't mentioned, so I'll stick to one space.
