And backtracking, Bon Jovi on SNL was hilarious. And I just finished watching a concert DVD of his Crush tour. Some of the dance moves he has...I hope Adam doesn't use them.

yes GG there are some moves that are just jon... and even tho they look silly when jon does them, i know i hoot and holler! :)

As long as Adam doesn't use them, it's okay. I'm not sure he could pull them off. I'm not even sure if Bon Jovi pulls them off a few times...

and i agree, sometimes jon doesn't pull them off but anything that involves him shaking his ass is fine with me.

okay, sort of off topic... but why is it that people think they can just make a petition and that will make whatever they are petitioning for or against, happen?

yes the strike sucks, and there is a very real posibility that shows will close, RENT being one of them, but all the petitions in the world aren't going to fix that.

It is ridiculous that people think petitions for things like casting, etc. will do any good.

I'd assume that if this drags on long enough, it would be more likely that shows set to open soon would end up just not running at all than that long-running shows would close because of the strike, but that's purely speculative.

I have absolutely no facts to base this on, but after running for 11 years, I doubt they would let RENT be closed by a strike. I would think they can make a large amount of money from fans rushing to see it again once they eventually DO make the closing announcement.

Emcee stole what I was going to say re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2 I highly doubt that RENT would close because of the strike (being it's been on Broadway for what, almost 11-12 years)? I could see smaller plays that were being set to open close consequentely; but we'll just have to see how long it lasts for.

i agree with you guys completely. i'm just over the drama on some other sites. yes, it sucks, but there really isn't a whole lot we as fans can do about it.

Well, and additionally, long running shows that have made back their investments are probably in less imminent danger than are the shows who have yet to do so. Besides the fact that Rent is comparatively inexpensive to run, which is the perpetual answer for why it's able to run for so long on such mediocre grosses and percentages.

And speaking of the Return....random babbling...

I finally went to listen to the RENT Live myspace page what they have in their media player (I'm thinking of changing current profile song even though it is SOO beautiful) and one of them is a Boot of Without You from the Return. I really think my hair rose a bit when it started....weird. I haven't really been too nostalgic or anything, so it just took me by surprise to have reacted like that.

The songs are good...nothing great, but some of the performers sound SOO good singing them. Josh's & Cheyenne's are my favorite.
