re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

What You Own was probably my favorite moment of the Return. I love the song anyway, but watching Adam and Anthony perform it with their pitch-perfect dynamics was incredibly special.

I'm incredibly jealous of all of you for having seen the return. I can't believe that I missed it. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I don't have Rent on my computer any more because I can't listen to it. There are way too many emotions in for me. I just get so overwhelmed.

I was looking forward to that scene so much. What You Own is one of my favorite songs, and to see them do it together, in character live was mind blowing to me. Getting to see them in Rent twice was great, and I'll never forget either experience.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Now I'm remembering the beginning of WYO on their opening night - those few moments right before Anthony's "Hi, Mark Cohen here for Buzzline.." I think the entire audience did a silent "ohmygod" to themselves and sort of let out this collective sigh of anticipation. I could cry right now just thinking about it.

It's killing me that I can't go back and reread the threads on this now

this was a summer to remember. i made some great friends this summer, and i guess that's what the spirit of RENT is about.

That crash made me so thankful I took the time to document everything somewhere other than here as well.

I love it. I remember that, "oh my God, here it comes!!" feeling so well.

I was just thinking yesterday what a wild summer it was, especially considering that I more or less took a break from the outside theater scene because of a select few things that were going on.

Aaah. I saw them sing WYO in concert a few times. I can't imagine what it was like in character. So. Jealous. Aaaah. *spazzes out*

Posts about the beginning of their run and most of the month of August are still there, so not all is lost. The end of Part 12 is actually where it all begins.

I still can't believe it. And I'm so glad my dad liked Rent, and liked them. For someone like him, it was a good night to see Rent for the first time.

Good point, Chloe. I'm glad that some of the posts are still around, but it's too bad that the site crashed in time for us to lose over a month of exciting stories and reviews.

Seeing What You Own on the first night was probably the highlight of the entire Return for me. misschung is right, you could feel people getting prepared to freak out about it, and we all certainly did. The woman sitting next to me kept hitting my arm through the whole song, just totally freaking out and clearly having no clue of what to do with herself. Jenna and I also lucked out one night by buying tickets we told ourselves we wouldn't buy and then getting to watch Adam cough up half a lung all over poor Anthony, which was about as nice to watch as it sounds. At least they sounded good.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

my favorite adam story from the return (aside from "the fall") was the night that tamyra only did the first act. I think it was 8/22 it was a wednesday, that much i remember. during on the street, adam was walking tamyra across the stage and decided it would be a great time to "adjust" himself. then he proceded to give himself a neck massage during OTM. once dana came out and did the second act, justin was trying to make her laugh by doing very phallic things with the blowtorch and adam could not control the laughter.

2nd favorite would be when he almost knocked the table over during Happy New Year trying to lift antonique off the chair.

There's really nothing that you can do in a situation like that other than ignore it and keep going. I'm sure worse things have happened to the poor guy on stage before, but it certainly caught us off guard since we had heard Adam was under the weather but then managed to sound better than he had in the previous weeks for a majority of the show.

I just watched that Written in the Stars clip. That is some fluffy hair!

So much reminiscing. How time flies...

The cast changes between the first time I saw Rent with A&A and the last were interesting. I liked Merle better as Joanne, but I as Benny I enjoyed Rodney Hicks more than D'Monroe.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

yeah there were plenty of nights where it was obvious adam was struggling, clearing his throat between and sometimes during songs.

i agree GG: i like D'Monroe, but I love Rodney's Benny.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I was having the sunday night blues, because, though it's monday, since it's veterans day, it's like a sunday night, and then I came here to all this talk about The Return. Listening to that Without You simultaneously gave me chills and reminded me of that giddy feeling I had at the time it was all happening.

To get to see them was so amazing, especially since i never thought I'd get to. What You Own was never a favorite song of mine until The Return. It was great the first time I saw A&A, and really transformed my feelings on it, but on their last night, it was nothing short of breathtaking. Their last night also brought me a whole new love for Your Eyes. I haven't listened to YE since then, because IMO it was so spectacular that night.

The Return was also my first (and only) time seeing Adam sing One Song Glory live, so there's that too.

Ah, The Return, how I miss thee.

and just a little thing I'm confused about...
I think it was 8/22 it was a wednesday, that much i remember
aren't there no RENT shows on wednesdays?

There were in the summer, Luna. I guess they stop Weds shows for the winter season.

I didn't really like D'Monroe's Benny performance, but he was an absolute sweet heart at the stage door!

Your Eyes was amazing. And Anthony Rapp does a beautiful Halloween.

I noticed that about D'Monroe as well-he came out the first time I went during the summer.

Rodney is great at the stagedoor as well. He's been such a sweetheart to me, and to so many other fans i've seen him interact with.
