Lakewood is almost directly west of Asbury Park, not too far from the coast, if that's any help.

Hey! So I just read a great review for the production of Urinetown I'm going to... but the very last sentence was a big "WTF" moment: Highly recommended for fans of Queen, Chicago, and the movie Moulin Rouge. What does that MEAN? And is that Chicago the musical, or Chicago the band? I'm so confused!
I would guess Chicago the musical, since the band is kind of old school at this point.

Queen's a little old-school, too, wouldn't you say? Heh. Either way, it's a little odd, I think.
Anyway, continue on with the Adam concert talk... I just thought you guys would enjoy the randomness of it, haha!
Right, I don't get the Queen association at all - or how exactly any of the Chicagos relate either. Maybe they're doing a radical new version of the material. :-P

I'm not familiar with the reporter who reviewed the show... I sort of get the feeling that she only knows a few shows. She referenced Les Mis at least three times.
Greetings from Ohio.
Although Lakewood is 30 minutes from where I live, there's no way I'll be able to go...
I think it's worse when you're so close to getting something you want and you just don't. It's a sad feeling.
Hey everyone! Just popping in to say hello. I'm going to the Rent tour tonight and am really excited. It'll be my first time seeing it live. Yay!!
Great tip, have a wonderful time, and tell us all about it!
Guitargeek, why won't you be able to go? And by the way, does anyone know exactly what time the NJ concert is?
Oooo, how exciting! Have fun!
That's why I can't go. It's on a Tuesday. I'm not even going to ask my parents. I know the answer.
It's a long shot, but I was thinking if it started on the early side, like the 6pm one on another date, it might be more doable.

Hi everyone!
My friend wants to see Wicked in Minneapolis this summer with me. I can't say I'm a fan of many Wicked songs, but perhaps there's something in the live experience that I just didn't get with the cast recording. Also, I feel like I've judged Julia Murney too soon by just listening to the Chess concert, and this would give me an opportunity to see her live and maybe form a different opinion.
Decisions, decisions.
Anyway, like almost everyone in this thread, I'd really like to see one of Adam's shows, but it's so not happening. I'll just hope he reschedules a date in/near NYC when I'm there in the fall.
Cute! Have fun Amber. Wicked is better live than in the cast recording, IMO. It's funny, and a beautiful production.

I just looked on the college website (Georgian Court NJ)

Damn! Good for you though, I couldn't find the time.
I listened to the recording of Wicked a few months ago, and I really didn't like it. "Defying Gravity," especially. I just didn't like it. Meh, my mom wants to see it, so maybe I'd like it live.

hah..I was looking up the directions from my house on mapquest and decided to look up the college for the time.
I found the college but couldn't find the concert listed there. Oh well, sometimes I don't see things that are right in front of me.
Maybe I'm just weird, but while I wasn't particularly blown away by Wicked when I saw it last year I really like listening to quite a few songs from the cast recording. My mom, on the other hand, keeps saying that it's her favorite Broadway show that she's ever seen.
I think it's overrated. While I enjoyed it, I don't think I would go back and see it over and over again. I listen to some of the songs every now and then.
