So, can I have the DVD now? Please? I am ready to OD on Rent, and that's very hard to do when there is a snow storm outside so I can't drive to the movie theater again. Oh well, I will have to make due with all the billions of video clips I have saved on my computer, lol. Happy Renting everyone! And if anyone here hasn't gotten the chance to see it yet, well, don't feel too bad, I think it's worse when you've seen it and you want to go back and see it AGAIN. It's like a drug or something, the more you get, the more you want.
Emcee, I haven't seen earrings on Adam since he finished the movie. Maybe that's part of the "generic actor-boy" look he mentioned in connection with his short haircut.
Shiksa Goddess, that is a really cool avatar. It took me a really long time to figure it out, but that's because I'm often slow. :-P
I don't WANT him to go generic-actor-boy. Bad, Adam!
Shiksa Goddess, I really like your avatar!
I just realized that I'm a triple legend! *party*
I don't want to know how many legends I am.
Movie is definitely even more enjoyable the 2nd time than the first!
Congratulations Elphie. It's now the triple-legend, Rent Day 2 party.
For some reason I enjoy the way Adam talks about actor-boys. It started off as something of an insult, I think.
Like something he never expected to be.

I've just finished a rant in general to all of the Adam-bashing going on. I'm sick of people dissing him. He's good. And if he wasn't, I'd say so. UGH.
I'm getting sick of people who are ignorant and OBNOXIOUS in their ignorance... like "was Jonathan gay?"
Sorry. This is like safe haven.

Emcee, I feel your pain. I am so sick of people dissing Adam, he is a good actor! Maybe not as experienced, but still great. He will always be my Roger, and even if he did suck as an actor who cares? His voice holds more emotion during one verse than most Hollywood actor's ever express in an entire movie.
Taking a moment to say Happy Thanksgiving, all.
Someone on one of those 45783025394586 threads said that he/she thought Adam had come a LONG way and at times was the best actor on screen. I'm the opposite of objective, but I also felt he did a terrific job. He was subtle and internal in ways I never expected.
Remember all those people who were sure he couldn't do this?
Happy Thanksgiving!
If he wasn't good, I would say it. I don't fool myself into thinking he's better than he is.

People are stupid. Adam was incredibly powerful...I felt privilaged to be sitting in the theatre watching him. I know it's silly, but it's true. And my mother is raving about the film and Adam. And Adam's hair =p
ETA. Silly me, HAPPY THANKSGIVING MY LOVES!
It's like they can't bring themselves to say he doesn't suck.

Happy Thanksgiving, my American friends!
So I saw Rent twice yesterday. And I finally got my POSTER! Actually, my friend brought me TWO of them! They're so glossy! I love it.
And at my second showing, I had my first "internet friend" meet-up, with a girl from CB! It was very exciting, and I definitely have made a great new friend out of it.
I thought the movie was wonderful. Last night, I had, like, everybody I know messaging me, asking what I thought. I was like, "Please go see it! I'm trying so hard not to just talk about every little detail." Now, I'm going to try to stay away from the theatre until next Friday, when my best friend (who was SUPPOSED to be coming tomorrow, grr) comes to see it. I hope I can do it! I have $10 in movie money, and a free pass, so it's extra tempting to go RIGHT NOW.
Yay, Allie! I wanted to see it last night, but I didn't have any money.

My first time was free! It was so exciting! We went right to the stand where they rip the tickets, my friend flashed the girl his pass, and she pulled out a paper for him to sign. I asked her if there were many people in the Rent theatre, and she was like, "Uh, not even close." 20 people. I think WE made it an even 20.
So was mine.
But my second was EXPENSIVE. Worth it, though. They talked about Jonathan a lot.
It'll be weird to see it at home; all kids from my high school, I'm sure. And they don't know, save for anything my brother has said to his friends for bragging rights, about any of.... this.

Gah!!! I didn't get to see it last night! I have to wait till Friday now. Grrrrrr!! *breathes* I have to realize that 2 days isn't going to make much of a difference, but still....
!!!
It's worth the wait, though.
